Yesterday I blogged that I was going to workout at home and it went fairly well:-). I did walking lunges, lateral lunges, sumo deadlift, single leg bridges, reverse flyes, french flyes, push ups, and chair dips all with dumbbells and an elastic band.
As for today, it's 6:05pm and I'm exhausted!! I went to work on my classroom today and got a bit closer to being done. It's still a mess though and I have yet to put up my walls(bulletin boards, etc). My eating has been okay, cereal with fat free milk, cottage cheese and pineapple chunks, smart ones lasagna, hard boiled egg and 1/2 a banana. Now I need to rethink my dinner because I have a lot of calories left! I didn't workout today but with all the lifting, climbing, reaching, walking, etc that I'm doing at work I think I'm okay.

It's Saturday and I've had an okay day. Woke up, ate breakfast, and took my son to the library. He got some pretty good books and I did too. I checked out "Bob Greene's Total Body Makeover" and "Body for Life for women". We went to the park then came home for lunch and a nap. While my son napped I worked out in my living room. I grabbed a chair and weights, turned on the radio and had a decent workout:-). Then we went to a local trail/lake and fed the ducks, came home and had dinner. Now I sit here getting ready for bed. I weigh in tomorrow and as stated yesterday, don't know what to expect. I had an okay week fitness wise and food wise(I've had better weeks). I DID stay within my nutrition goals everyday but I am eating rice, pasta, bread, tortillas. They are whole wheat and I'm eating serving sizes so I guess it's okay. In order to lose weight faster I should probably cut them out but I'm trying to do this the normal way. I don't want to "diet" and restrict myself of food because it'll be harder to maintain later. The past few weeks I've been dropping weight by exercising and eating good which includes what I listed above and favorites like pizza, tacos, movie popcorn etc. I'm strictly sticking to serving sizes which hasn't been all that bad.

So it's Friday night and I'm home alone with my son. My boyfriend had to go out of town and left earlier around 5. When he did this I left home immediately to get dinner. I'm real paranoid and do not leave home after dark without my boyfriend present. I do things like avoid deserted places, get in my car quickly and lock the doors, stay aware of my surroundings, park in the front of places, visit high traffic stores only, don't open the door is someone is knocking and I'm alone, etc. Is this weird?
Anyway, my son's 3rd birthday is on Wednesday and I think my family is coming into town so I'm excited! The past two years I've had to drive to them 6 hours away so my son can have people around on his birthday.
Week 8 is over and I need to weigh in on Sunday:-O. I feel like I had an ok week though and don't know what to expect. Tomorrow I won't be able to go to the gym because I'll have my son all day so I'm going to workout at home the best that I can.
