Sad or Confused

Thursday, November 26, 2009

So, I've felt like I am pregnant for about 2 weeks now. Had my period but still have had the feelings. I waited 9 days from the expected period date, even though it came early, and tested. Came out negative. But I still have the symptoms and the gut feeling.

My biggest issue is I'm tired of feeling sick and no one knowing why. I'd go to the doctor but have no health insurance and it's not worth going since often they don't know what's wrong either.

Back when my mom was pregnant with me, the test came out negative. It wasn't until a while later that she went to the doctor and found out she was pregnant.

I'm going to be careful still and see what happens in december. Maybe in the 8 week period I'll test again, or wait to see if I get my period for that month.

The truth is I wouldn't mind it. I've always wanted a child but also, it would be nice to know what is going on with my body. I don't like not knowing. If I'm not then I still have plenty of time in the future.

Do you want to be pregnant? I know that I would have that feeling too only to be disappointed when it turned out negative! Hope that all goes well for you!

First Thanksgiving

Saturday, November 21, 2009

Thursday is the day. I've never cooked Thanksgiving dinner before because I've always gone to a parent's house or grandparent's. I'm at my mom and stepdad's house this year, but mom is letting me do the cooking. I've done a turkey before, but a bit smaller than what we'll have. I can't wait!

Turkey
Stuffing
Bread
Sweet Potatoes
Pumpkin Caramel Cheesecake
Pilgrim Hat Cookies
and who knows what else

Still waiting...

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

My "period" is almost done. I am still having all the symptoms and have food cravings. The newest craving is bacon on ice cream.

Parents will be leaving tomorrow. I might borrow his car (since I'm not allowed to take mine out of town) and go buy a test. I could here but everyone knows me and my family here. Mom saw me eating ice cream with slices of cheddar cheese. She kind of questioned if I'd gotten my period. Told her yes so that seemed to calm her worries, so not sure how she'll react. She knows I'm not a virgin anymore though.

Not sure if I'll test on friday or saturday.

A little concerned.

Monday, November 16, 2009

Before I went to Minnesota to visit my BF we were talking online all the time. We would talk in chat a couple times a day on a writing web site and he would send me emails on a regular basis. Since coming home, I rarely get to talk with him. At first, it was because he was really sick with the flu. But, now I'm not sure. We talk in chat occasionally, but that is about it. He doesn't respond to emails that I send him. Not sure what to think.

Hey, sweetie... if someone isn't returning your calls, they are not worth the time. I'd just cut him off, no matter how much it hurts. A relationship can't survive on emails alone... and, if he isn't returning your emails or calling you back, he's not worth it. You deserve to with with someone who makes you happy and who will be with you, in person.

Possible Symptoms

Saturday, November 14, 2009

Even though the result discussed here is very unlikely, I've been have certain symptoms for the past week / week and a half. At first I had thought some of them were because of illness, such as strep. But have been to a public health clinic and no strep or disease. Plus, a few of the symptoms I have on a regular basis.

Possible Symptoms
Nausea, and nausea connected to food (seeing, smelling, and thinking of them)
Frequent urination (15+ times yesterday)
Odd aches, kind of cramp like, in my stomach.
Heartburn sensation
Elevated body temperature
Low back pain (have arthritis)
Headaches
Sensitivity to smells

The smells one is weird. I have always had a terrible sense of smell and my mom has been sensitive to odors. Yet, yesterday: in the kitchen when the trash was full, I smelled 3 different bad odors, and one bad odor in the fridge. Later, the trash had been emptied and I didn't smell anything. Brought it up to mom, thanking her for removing it. She said it didn't smell bad at all. Then when we were putting away groceries after dinner, she was in front of the fridge and I was over to the side in the kitchen. The odor was so powerful I felt like I could gag. She still didn't smell anything.

So, even though I know it's unlikely to be the thing I'm thinking of, I still can't help but wonder.

Just wondering if you might have a UTI...did they check you for that? Aside from the smell thing I just had all the same symptoms (including being really tired) and it was a UTI..I knew it was...I didn't get tested but got on an antibiotic and feel much better...Good luck...
