A Good Week

I went to my aqua jog on Wednesday but our usual instructor was on holiday and the replacement did a different routine which was harder but still enjoyable.
We seem to have spent a lot of money this week as on Tuesday we had something called roof guard fitted and we are also buying a new vacuum cleaner tomorrow. I am meeting my mum tomorrow in Nottingham, its not my favourite way to spend a day as I do not like shopping.

Swimming

I went to aqua jog yesterday but it was not until a friend asked where my swim gear was that I realised I had forgotten it, I still went to the gym and to a fitness class so tomorrow I am going to aqua jog tomorrow.
Things are back to normal here at least for a couple of weeks. Still feeling tired and I do have an appointment to see the doctor but not until the 12th, think I may have had a chest infection as I am using my inhaler more.

Tired and depressed

I am feeling very tired depressed, it is nearly 7 weeks since Michael was up and I spend most of my evenings alone (apart from Tuesday when it is knitting and sewing group) days are a little better especially if it Wednesday when I go to art group but if the weather is good I go for a walk.
I am finding it very hard to stick to my diet, Tuesday was a bad day as I kept eating Jaffa cakes but been OK since one thing that did not help was when I weighed myself and found that I had not lost any.
One the good news side I have been given £250 for a gym membership which I hope to do on Monday.
At the moment I could just sit down and cry so I am trying to keep busy.

    Some weeks go without losing a pound and then after another week will lose 4 lbs...don't give up. It is all worth it. Good luck with gym. Having others there will help so much. We are cheering you on. Hugs. Barb

    I hope Michael picks up his mood soon, is the medication not working this time, maybe he needs them changing.
Take care of yourself & remember, you may not have lost anything, but you haven't gained either.

    Some times a good cry helps to relieve those pent up emotions. After a good cry, get a fresh shower and wash it away. I try to avoid crying and it comes to a head so getting it taken care of can your cleanse the soul. You can do this and take it a day at a time for a better you. emoticon

Not feeling too good

Not sure why but I'm not feeling too good, I went for a walk on Tuesday which I enjoyed and seemed to do it easy enough but on Wednesday my back ached more than usual, I am also feeling very low in mood mainly because Michael is now on his 6th week of is depressive episode.
Now for good news, I've had a £250 grant from a charity which is for a yearly gym membership. I have not been to exercise this week because of a committee meeting on Monday and tomorrow I am in Derby for the mental health forum.

Feeling fed up

I am feeling tired and a bit fed up, think I maybe coming down with a cold as I have had a stuffy nose for a few days and now my throat feels a sore.
We had a little more snow overnight but it did not stop me going shopping in Sutton, did not buy much much apart from food but did win a prize in a free raffle.

    The whole world is not as much fun when not feeling well. I agree with RLB, some good old fashioned Chicken soup will do wonders! If your calorie count allows pasta and butter our family has "chicken noodle soup with shells" as our "get feeling better staple".

This recipe is for a whole family:
1 large and 1 regular size can of Campbell's Chicken noodle soup cook as directed in a large sauce pan
1 box (1 lb.)of medium size shells (the shape/size of the pasta does make a difference in the taste)cooked until almost done drain, add to the chicken noodle soup with 1 tbsp unsalted butter.
Serve toppped with a very light layer of grated parmesan or romano cheese ... it will comfort you in no time.

by the way... no crackers... emoticon
