New Glasses

Thursday, May 13, 2010

I have picked up my new glasses today (for computer use only) and can see the screen a lot better now emoticon.
Weight Watchers tonight but I'm not feeling very confident, I am a bit disheartened about how long it is taking me to lose the extra weight, not helped by my mum's partner who made some comments when we went to see her. emoticon emoticon

I'm glad to hear you got your glasses. It's like a whole new world, isnt it?!

Good luck at WW - I'm sure you'll see progress!

It's always great to not have to squint to see. Also, you won't get as tired reading the computer screen.

Please don't read too much into your mum partner's comment. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Continue making the changes you need to make to achieve your goals. Remember to take it one meal at a time and stay focused. Changing your lifestyle takes time and commitment. It is a process that will always be changing as you change. emoticon

Had a lovely day

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

We had a lovely day in Scarborough and the weather stayed nice all day, we had some very tasty fish and chips in a lovely little tearoom. I took a few photos and will put them on my page soon.

My toe are healing quite well, the bandages came off on Sunday after a shower and the nurse is going too check them this afternoon.
Thank you for the kind messages.

I am seeing the doctor on Thursday mostly because I feel so low and don't seem to be able to get myself out of it.

Feeling very sad

Sunday, May 09, 2010

I was having a nice weekend until I switched on the computer and found an e-mail from a friends husband to tell me she had died, she was a pen-pal and I had been writing for about 5-6 years.
I had my to big toe nails off last Tuesday, things did go a little wrong as he did not cauterize one of my toes would not stop bleeding, they seem to be healing but the right one is the most painful so walking is slow at the moment.
Tomorrow we are going to Scarborough(east coast) and I am really looking forward to it.
On the weight front it is going very slowly but shall keep at it.

Sorry about your pen-pal, after all those years you will miss her.
Enjoy Scarborough, maybe you can find a quiet moment, looking out to sea, to say goodbye to your friend.

So sorry about the loss of your pen pal.
I hope your toe improve soon, my son had both his big toe nails removed and it does seem to take a while to recover fully, I hope you manage to enjoy your trip to Scarborough/

That's disappointing for you, I bet you were all siked up, then let down, never mind the way time fly's you'll soon be there again.
(please excuse my spelling, spell check did'nt give me any options for siked)

Tomorrow I am having a small op on my toes and I am just starting to worry about it, I have a fungus in 5 of my toe nails which they are going to take off as there does not seem to be a cause.
I am not doing as well as I would like at losing weight as last I put on two pounds, think I know where I am going wrong so I have stopped buying buying fresh bread and have upped my fruit intake, I try to walk as much as possible but I am limited by a back problem.

Good luck with your operation today - I'm thinking of you.

You'll get back in your groove and find the place that you're able to walk more and eat healthier.
