I have been missing in action! (And sometimes, not very much action!)

I needed a break from counting. I've maintained my sanity -- haven't gone out and eaten a whole sleeve of Chips Ahoy or anything like that -- but I was starting to get depressed over everything, including the numbers. The calories in, which always SEEMED to be in-range, and the one between my toes on the scale, which never moved. So I stopped. Now I'm ready to start again. Yesterday I had a perfect calorie-day.

My coworker and I had a great streak where we were doing a Leslie Sansone video every day... And then last week we got really busy and haven't done it in a while. But I'm bringing my shoes to work again, and yesterday I got my butt to the gym. I want to work back up to the C25K. I would like to finish that program. This week, I am letting myself just walk. And today it's going to be lovely out - I'm really looking forward to being outside.

I can't remember my 7/18 weigh-in.

I do remember last week. It was 145.5. Down a pound! Hallelujah!!

I hated today's weigh-in. It was 148! CRAP! But we did go out to eat last night and I was not using my brain when I read the menu. I'll confess: Chicken Pot Pie. Yum.


On the other hand, I'm feeling like I want to workout again, and workout hard, and set some new goals. Today I wanted to workout to keep my mental state healthy. (When I start skipping workouts I start to feel pissy about everything, mostly my job.) So today I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill. And this afternoon I'm doing a walking video with my co-worker.

My favorite thing I've seen on Pinterest is this saying:
Tears, sweat, or the ocean - Salt water can cure just about anything.



Sigh. 146.5 again.

I'm being SO DANG accountable. And yet, nothing's happening.

Let's see... over the weekend I did have 2 glasses of red wine at a party. And two doughnuts on my son's birthday. But otherwise I'm pretty sure I have stayed within calorie ranges.

It's AF week so maybe that 146.5 means I'm really lower than that! Fingers crossed! I will keep trying!!

Wednesday weigh-in. Boo. Last week we were on vacation so I didn't have a scale.

This week I gained 1/2 lb. oh well. Better luck next week.

There. I did it. I am being accountable.


For reference, I am 5'1". 146 is where I've been, where I started, and a number I have grown to dislike quite a bit.

I didn't take measurements today but maybe once a month I'll post those, as well.

Let's see if I can lose one pound by next week!!

    :( You can do it! It is a new week. If you can pull off a 1 lb loss, you might feel encouraged to continue. That is how I stay motivated. I have gained, and it is so disappointing when that happens! Hpe you can get that scale to move! emoticon emoticon
