Today was awesome! My early morning Weight Watcher weigh-in brought me another loss (a little over three sticks of butter off the body -- thatís the way I visualize my weight loss).
My husband and I worked together to take care of some household upgrades. He's into a W.E.B. Griffin presidential novel series, and I enjoyed hearing some of its storyline (I so love the name Svetlana). He knows how to enjoy his retirement and vacation, as he spends many hours each day enjoying a good book. It's unbelievable how fast he can go through books, often re-reading them three and four times.
Today was also the second day this week where I managed to stay within the recommended levels of seven nutrients (calories, fat, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, calcium, and sodium). WooHoo! Meeting these goals included a light, but fun lunch with my husband at Ciciís Pizza Buffet. While any one element (ie calories) is fairly easy for me, it's meeting all of my nutrient goals (especially sodium) that bring the greatest reward. Salt is probably my biggest culprit, but I've more recently learned that my salt levels are at the baseline of normal.
On our return from Ciciís, the Ibis seemed to enjoy munching in our yard. A fun sight to see.
ďRule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.Ē (Genesis 1:28b)
Now to move a little more, while meeting the challenge of increasing our levels of fitness for the Teddy Bear team miles to Cancun, Mexico.
Hope you're having a great day, too!

Are you flying by the seat of your pants or seeing things with a little blurred vision?
Or is reaching your goals clearly in focus?
Shellzyís blog reminded me today that this is a great time to make sure your March goals are in focus. If so, make sure they meet the SMART standard: specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. Here are my goals for March:
1) Shed three pounds
2) Average 30 minutes or more in daily cardio and strength training
3) Track daily
4) Average six or more servings of fruits and veggies daily
5) Drink at least 10 cups of water daily
6) Satisfy meeting all seven recommended levels of: calories, fat, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, calcium, and sodium twice weekly
7) Spend at least 15 minutes daily in the study of Godís word
8) Go see a movie at the theatre (canít remember the last movie I saw)
9) Complete the knitting of one prayer shawl
I would love to be able to say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. " (2 Timothy 4:7)
Are your plans for reaching your goals in focus?

Here, my cousin and I enjoyed a neighborhood church, Salad Bar Luncheon. It doesnít take much for me to marry a passage and photo to bring aid in growing my measure of living faith.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
Hope youíre making quality connections today while you reach your healthy goals!

My husband is now thrilled with his newest purchase, which happens to be the fifth Mustang heís owned. I wasnít around for his first three, but they bring back such fond and loving memories especially that great lime-green color!
In this photo, my brother and husband just returned from having put the top down for the first time, now that weíre in a warmer climate.

How happy your men must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!
Now I need to remember to take my hat for when Iím in the sun longer than the recommended 15 minutes for my vitamin D fix. Iím one of those people that carry a UV umbrella versus have my eyes water most of the day if I use sunscreen.
May the sun shine on your face soon!

I was able to take a good friend to church in Ft Myers Beach. Being that we were early, accommodating for heavy traffic, I was able to walk the beach before worship. What an awesome God we have:
Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths. (Psalm 148:7)
Afterwards, we broke bread together at the Sunflower, where we both gave attention to salt content as we ordered salad and seafood.
