Taking it one day at a time. Doing the next right thing.
1. Go to bed early with a good book so as not to eat before bedtime.
2. Posting on Spark People to have support and encouragement and give it.

This is so HUGE. Most of us oldies realize the importance of body functioning. And appreciation and reverence for what our bodies can do. Forget that Helen Mirren has the sexiest body, the rest of us accept being normal. I tried a bathing suit on yesterday and
emoticon, so much for appearance. Give me the ones with a little skirt as the inside thighs of over 70's should only be considered in the functional sense.

Function is important to keep us out of depression they say, and so does our computer time Sparking.


Most of us are at the age to afford a gym or exercise equipment finally. BUT our bodies have to be able to function to use them. On exercise, just do it and then keep on doing it.

    emoticon emoticon AWESOME blog! I agree 1000%. At my age I'm certainly not out to impress anyone, I just want to be able to get around easier. As long as I am able to improve my mobility I am happy. A little better weight loss would make me happier, but I know that as my mobility increases my weight will decrease. I'm for sure not out to win any races!

Thanks for the great words of wisdom and the humorous cartoons. Great thoughts to begin the day with.

    Loved your blog, all so true! I saw that article, too, and yes, it is more important for me to be able to walk/run a 5K than to wear a size 8. We can focus on the positives and work toward improvement in others.

I think more people should appreciate function and the potential to function well. Taking care of our bodies helps us to function better.

Weekend Plan....
1. Protein for breakfast with in 30 minutes of rising.
2. Doing a Spark Exercise CD Sat and Sunday.
3. Post to the 3 teams I lead before 8 am.
4. Read and study Dr. Jack Kruse, Paleo 3.0, The Quilt jackkruse.com/the-quilthow-to-beat-a
gin/

5, Meditate daily., go to church Sunday
6. Practice balance daily.

    This is a great plan!!! I try to do my protein that way also. I also drink green tea with breakfast & lunch. I also try to to get my exercise in before getting on computer. You are doing amazingly well!
