"Funk" is over!

Monday, March 25, 2013

Day 6, okay, I can't count! No really, I have been in such a "funk" the last 15 days and that is to put it mildly. Progress is progress nonetheless!

I have been working out regularly the past couple of weeks, but no streaking on spark people, due to many stories I told myself. emoticon I won't bore you with any of my stories. Let's just say that I am glad to be back and I feel refreshed and new and improved!

I have been creating more EFT videos for my first product on Parent Forgiveness. It is a work in progress and has created a lot of drama as it is pushing me out of my comfort zones. I have been tuning in more and more to what my strategies for sabotage are so I can share that healing with the world. It is a very uncomfortable thing to share your deepest secrets and put them out there to the public, but it is also a very important step in the healing process. That is why blogging on Spark People is such a beautiful thing, especially when people are able to share their worst fears. Everyone is blessed or they get triggered, which is really a blessing if they are willing to see the learnings of others as opportunities to grow themselves.

I had my first Reiki Distance healing last night and it was a beautiful experience. I received immediate answer to prayer and a total turn around out of the "funk". Don't knock "funks" though, as they are a part of the process when they happen. We gotta learn to roll with the emotions rather than resist or suppress them.

I love being inspired on SP.

Here is to being funky! LOL. I crack myself up. But seriously, thanks for sharing this. I think more people can relate to what you are going through than you realize. Hang in there. I am glad you see the positive side of things:-)

Very interesting. Have you charted your moods (funk, etc) as part of your daily journal to see if there are any patterns of moods & foods? Years ago I discovered that I had food sensitivities . . . but they didn't show up immediately (as would an allergy). Sometimes it would take 2 or 3 days. But there was definitely a pattern.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made!!!

3 Mile Walk Today and Lots of EFT/Tapping

Sunday, March 10, 2013

My last blog entry says it was Sunday, but that was because I started writing it at 12:04 AM.:) It was actually my update for Saturday.

Today, Day 5, was awesome! I felt so great that I did a 3 Mile Power Walk with Leslie Sansone and my T-Tapp workout. I also did my Ho Downs twice today.

I realized that I sure do need to build up to doing Ho Downs 3 times a day. Right now, I struggle to get through them twice a day. T-Tapp is so efficient that Ho Downs take less than 5 minutes to do and yet they are very aerobic and take some balance and practice to do properly. No wonder I wasn't remembering to do them after every meal!!

I ate my 2 shakes and had my one healthy meal and a couple of snacks.

I am thrilled how my body is recovering from my last massage. I go back tomorrow morning and then I am off to visit my daughter up North for a couple of days. I can't wait to hold the baby and get some grandma time with the three sweet little ones. My son is on spring break so we are both going plus the puppies, so we will have a big time.

I am doing my EFT/Tapping through a challenge my mentor created called the End of Guilt and Self-Punishment Challenge, today. It's powerful healing stuff and I am going to get back to it now until I am just too tired to tap. It's been real emotional so far.

Don't ya just love it?! Do you have a specific tapping technique?

I have one I came across a couple years ago that I just love. It's about 15 minutes.

Interested to hear more about yours . . . and the Ho Down. Never heard of that.

Pushed Through the Pain and Blessed

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Well, technically it's Sunday, because it is just after midnight, but this is actually Day 4 update.

I had a poor nights sleep and woke feeling like I had a bed cold. The thing is I knew it was just part of the healing process and not a cold at all. I had another massage yesterday and I knew my body was just dealing with the toxins that had been released.

I did not want to get up and do anything, let alone exercise, but I knew it would only help to do just that. I did my T-Tapp and felt so good afterwords that I did 1 mile speed walk, too. It felt so good to just do it and experience the wonderful results.

My therapist recommended a bath in apple cider vinegar to also help the process, which I did. Wonderful.

My 17 year old son wanted to go to movie with me and I loved that. We did a movie, some popcorn and then went out to supper. We had a wonderful time together.

I lost my fitbit tracker today.:-( I must not need it anymore. Less to manage now and I do prefer simplicity.

Blessed day!

Congratulations on just doing it...I am glad you had a good time with your son. I have never heard of an Apple Cider Vinegar bath....I think that might help relieve the congestion that I have due to a cold. emoticon

Day 3 of Spark Streaking

Friday, March 08, 2013

Day 3-I did my 15 minute T-Tapp workout and 1 mile speed walk early this morning.

I had my house cleaned and while that was happening I had my hair done and had another amazing massage. I am usually really tired after these really powerful massages, but there was no opportunity to rest with picking up my son and going to his voice recital followed immediately by 3 of my granddaughters ballet recital. They are were wonderful. What a wonderful day.

I was so tired that I started falling asleep while writing the first sentence of this blog. I am determined to keep my journal updated regardless.

With the full busy day and all, I did manage to do another set of Ho Downs tonight. I will be glad when I am willing to remember to do them after every meal. I am pretty sore from the T-Tapp anyway.

After the recitals we went out for a bite to eat. I did enjoy some french fries and shared a shake with my son. Most of the time junk for is not the least appealing or tempting. Tonight it tasted good and I know better than to feel guilty. I never (no I'm not exaggerating) choose junk food for myself and rarely eat it when I am with others who do eat it. No worries. I am more concerned about losing inches, being fit and healthy and even more importantly healing my mindset. If I stay committed to T-Tapp and walking I will lose the inches and if I stay committed to Tapping, I will heal my mindset about my body and myself. I've come a long ways and there is much more to go.

Good night, before I fall asleep with my hands on the keyboard again. Time to allow the massage to integrate. I'm too tired to bother with soaking in the tub in raw apple cider vinegar, which my therapist recommended, but I plan to do it tomorrow.

You seem to be doing so well...everything under control. So good! But this week I have been hearing about the wonders of apple cider vinegar from all kinds of people, essentially for lowering cholesterol and for eliminating heartburn. Now why does your therapist recommend bathing in it? And how many bottles does it take to fill the tub?
