July 6, 2014 - The first day

Today I am beginning my adventure to a healthy life. I will commit to walk/jogging 3o minutes every day, 6 days a week. In addition, I will do other exercises to increase my metabolism.

Today, my weight is the highest it has ever been and it is time to take life by the head and heart and change my lifestyle.

I will be happier and therefore, so will the people around me.

Yesterday was a beautiful Easter Day! My husband and I walked on the Governor's trail for 45 minutes and I kept up with him. There were times I was huffing and puffing but I LOVE IT! It has really motivated me. Today I have my clothes and ready to do the jazzercise at 4:40 PM. That way I still have my evening to do what I want.

I even posted my exercise points for the spring 5% challenge. Finally I think I am on the focused track again. It is so uplifting.

Today is a beautiful day and the first day for "Walk Across Kansas". My husband is enrolled in the program through work but we are going to do it together. My goal is to build myself back to where I was last fall and completing a 5K walk/jog in 35 minutes. I know that is slow but it is good for me.

I also want to get back into my jazzercise several times a week. This should definitely help me get to my goals.

    LOL. If I can do a 5k in under an hour I'm happy! I would love to see 35 minutes on my watch when I'm done! Sounds like you are doing great.

I am ready to start the 5% challenge and advance towards my goal. I would like to drop another 15 pounds by the end of the year and hang to that level. Spring means I can get out and really begin my walking and jogging. I am ready!

The new year has begun and I am really trying to focus. I gained 3 pounds over the holidays and it is time to refocus.

I have made an annual commitment for Jazzercise. I started last week and began with low impact and then 2 sessions of intermediate movement. This week because of my work schedule I could not get more than 2 sessions in. Already, I feel good about what I am doing.

My commitment to the diet has increased because of my the time spent on exercising. I guess I am mentally thinking if you are going to exercise why blow it by not following my health plan.

I know my attitude has improved.

    Great attitude! I exercise first thing in the morning because it makes me think twice before I blow it with food!

  As you know we all tend to put on extra pounds at holidays, it is good that you have decided to work on it in a timely manner before it gets out of hand. With an improved attitude you will get far.
