I made a small change But it made a big difference

Sunday, August 11, 2013

So I'm not sure how many people would agree with this, But I have a cheat day every Saturday. I decided to keep that cheat day even after I joined sparks people about a week ago. So yesterday was my first cheat day in my changed lifestyle.

So I woke up yesterday and I made a huge breakfast for My fiancÚ and kids. I made bacon, pancakes, eggs, Biscuits and fruit. Mind you the day before I figured out what kind of eater I am on sparks people ( I get excited about food). I somehow made it my life. So the day before I had to wrap my mind around that, and I did. It all started to come together and once it did I notice that I'm starting to look at food in a different light and I'm just not taking that much pleasure in the crap foods that sounded so good just a few days ago.

So I'm eating my big breakfast and I noticed that I just wasn't that into it. I Ate slowly and with all the food I put on my plate I ate 1 pancake a slice of bacon and a little of my eggs. THIS IS A HUGE CHANGE FOR ME!

Usually after a cheat day I go on this weekend binge (from a cheat day that should've only lasted a day)But today I made a healthy breakfast and logged into here. I realize this seems small. But its huge for me. Not only did I eat well on my cheat day. I didn't make the days to follow a downward spiral. I'm very proud of myself.

Cheat days are good and bad... it confuses the body which is good for weight loss but it is best to get cheating done early in the day and not the evening.. emoticon emoticon

Family influences

Thursday, August 08, 2013

First Id like to say, Im adopted. I love my family with all my heart and I know they love me back. We are a unique bunch .I have 8 brothers and sisters, some are white and some black. My mothers white and my fathers black. Not that this matters I just want to give you a visual.

I haven't always had weight issues. But my mom and one of my sisters has until my sister just started losing all this weight, at 98pounds. She looked sick. But the weight just fell off.only reason she gained it back is because she had to get her gallbladder removed and it helped her to eat her favorite foods again. But before she had the gall bladder issue I could tell she was eating very small portions. My mom has had weight issues for years. Her weight has always been up and down. But recently she had gastric bypass surgery.

I say all that to say I've always felt pressure from them to be small. When to me it seems like they've always taken the easy way out. So when I get excited about losing 8 pounds, I feel like they look at me like " she is so pathetic". They never say these things but I feel they think it. So ive distanced myself from my family and they think its because I don't want to be around them. But its not really that. Its just that every time I go around them I leave feeling lower than crap. I feel so judged because I'm not shedding pounds quickly.

I realize this may sound like a ramble. But I just needed to vent guys.

You'll lose it in your own time. Don't feel rushed or pressured by your family, if you're doing it for you, then it has to be at your own pace. You'll get there. :)

A couple days I broke out in hives because of a new spa pack I tried. So I have been taking Benadryl to get rid of them. They seem to be gone so I didn't have to take Benadryl this morning so I feel more motivated that ever. yayy!!! emoticon
