Thursday, December 06, 2012

Goals for the day:

Water 8 cups emoticon
Meal Plan emoticon
Journaling emoticon
Me time emoticon
Exercise - Zumba Class 50 mins emoticon
Sleep - be in bed by 10pm tonight emoticon emoticon

Yesterday was a great day!! I even handles my dear mother who lives with me who can be very needy selfish and at times rude in her request. I vowed to keep my life positive and when she started her nitpicking crap I told her thank you for letting me know and put my headphones on grabbed my book and went into my room and ignored her i was in my own space and didn't want to be bothered by her crap.

My husband made dinner for me Baked Lemon Cod incrusted with almonds, green beans, greens, and roasted red potatoes. I had half a cup of bean soup and 2 corn tortilla i came in within my calories. My mantra is to keep eating healthy and exercising eventually it will fall into place and the weight will come off. I also got some kid divider plates to help with my portion control. i'm using the two smaller for protein and carbs and then the big area for veggies. It is very eye opening but working for me. I got red and blue cups, snack saucer which has a little area for dip or salad dressing and the trays are also red & blue. I got them at walmart. I find myself savoring my food vs. just scarfing it down. I am trying to enjoy my meals.

Well today is another day and my plan is the same exercise tonight is similar to zumba but is more a latin twist with kick boxing (so latin, dance, hiphop combo on the music) It is a blast and today is a power interval class so hoping tomake it a full 90 mins if possible if not for sure 60 mins. Hoping to have my sleep patterns in so i can start waking up at 5 am to get my walks in b4 work.

oh started my 4 day positive diet. Yesterday i had to list 50 positive things in my day i did it :) today 10 positive affirmations!

Okay well off to work have a great day all!

Oh good for you, off to a GREAT start! Love the idea of the divided plates. I've switched completely to using a salad plate for my meals - which is so helpful. I find that I feel so deprived if I don't get to eat everything on my plate, so finding a smaller plate works for me - but the divided plate would sure help with balancing the nutrition!     It sounds like a good plan. Check off each one of the tasks each day, and you will stick with it. Good show.

Em, as always you're so aware of what you need to be doing. It IS a tough time of year for so many out there. I've been busy working in my studio - I've got three pieces due before December 22nd, so it's been busy - but good. Hang in there and keep reminding us to drink our water emoticon

Holiday Challenge Break 270#

Saturday, November 24, 2012

I have struggled to get under 270 # i have a habit of sabbotoging my efforts of under and staying under. I have had many accomplishments but this one remains elusive to me. I know I must push myself to do this and not be AFRAID of getting past that, once i lose that i know i will break my own mind head game so I am going to try my best to make this by the end of the year.

1. Water
2. Exercise which coincides with my Spring Half training (25 weeks)
emoticon emoticon emoticon
3. Journaling tracking my food and feelings it works just do it and stay consistent! emoticon
4. Its just a number and that number does not define me remember it daily!!
5. Attitude is everything if i say i can't - i might as well just give up now.. so say you can and that you are worth it daily!! & you will!!
6. Keep a daily blog as much as you can on how you did. Accountability.
7. Eat Clean and watch portions
8. Plan you meals and day and don't steer from your goal finish each day!

I know I will!

You've got it figured out, but how well I know figuring it out and executing don't always go hand in hand emoticon

But you're right to focus on the attitude - because if that's in a good place it makes the struggle all worthwhile.

Best of luck navigating this latest journey friend.

I totally hear you! I can't seem to get past 200. There has been some talk that it may be hormone related because I'm going though menopause. Whatever it is, for you and me both, I wish the scale would reflect the effort that we are putting into becoming healthy!

It's good to see that you are back on track and still pushing forward!
Emotional eating is such a tough thing to conquer, you are doing great job! I too play the sabotage game, I let my emotions rule for the last two months and stopped working out and just coasted, but I am back on track as well. Have a happy and healthy holiday season, I know you can get past this hurdle and SHINE as you always do!
