    Oh, I've never been able to do that planning thing. About the only batch cooking I do is roasting two chickens at once or making a huge pot of Whatchagot Stew.

I shy away from diets that have menus to follow. I just don't shop that way. Someday I'm going to write "The Loss-leader diet." How to buy groceries on sale and still lose weight.

First, I need to make it work, though.

BACK TO BASICS!!

JOURNALING MY FOOD INTAKE DAILY NO BUTTS!
PACKING AND PLANNING MY MEALS I SEEM TO HAVE GOTTEN OFF TRACK THESE PAST FEW WEEKS!!

EXERCISE DO IT DON'T SAY YOU WILL JUST GET OFF MY BUTT AND GET IT DOWN. I NEED TO DO IT. MY BACK IS HURTING MY EMOTIONAL SIDE IS HURTING, I'M NOT LIKING MYSELF MUCH. TIME FOR CHANGE!!!!

Finally feeling well!!!

Well after getting sick with Bronchitis and being sick for over 7 weeks I'm happy to say I am feeling alot better. I am back to routines and yes it is still easy and i'm eating all sorts of stuff. While on predosone I gained quite a bit of weight then lost it all within a week and now I have been maintaining but this week i started journaling my food and measuring I expect a nice lose by the time I go to TOPS!! I know I can do this and keeping my portions in check is what is needed. I still have desserts just small ones like cheesecakes bits for 100 calories or 100 calorie cake. I have been preplanning my meals each day before I got to bed and it's been working. I had a breakfast burrito which was about 200 calories and a glass of OJ for lunch i had chicken noodle soup and a ham sandwich on lite bread with jello for snacks applesauce and bananas. Drinking my water and i'm just about weened off regular pop. i got these 12 oz pepsi's and i'm drink half of one daily and today didn't want one. just drank water. I won't depreieve but i won't binge anymore on stuff. I know I have to practice a little more self control.

Well onward and need to get to bed.

I have been eating six mini meals a day....


Example:

Bean & Cheese Burrito - Veggie beans & non fat cheese 180 Calories
OJ

hummus & asparagas taco (low carb wheat torilla) 130 Calories each twice a day for snacks

Lunch---I just did a healthy choice meal with veggies, fruits and s/f jello.

Lots of water!!!

For dinner I got mini frozen meatballs 6 of them 240 cals with half a cup of Ragu spaghetti sauce on a roll... with parm cheese... Loved it. Easy and haven't felt deprieved.

One little bitsize square-cheesecake 100 cals.

I found a way to make it work and still feel satisfield. I am excited because i'm not eating just diet food it is reasonable but I am counting everything out and tracking everything I put in my mouth.

Exercise made it fun.... website that keeps track of your mintues and your are on a trail...... www.americaonthemove.org.

WOOHOO!!! Feeling proud, small baby steps, gradually doing it. :)

    Here' a trick I just discovered:

If I count out, say, 5 Doritos, then break each one into three small piece, they are really fun to dip that way. I like salsa and Tillamook nonfat sour cream. Anyhow, since it's the dipping and biting that is so satisfying, I get three times the satisfaction this way.

Works with Wheat Thins, too. Sort of. It's still really dangerous for me to open a box of those! With the crackers, I like little shreds of deli ham, tiny squares of cheese, or nonfat cream cheese.

Oh, and here's a great mini-dessert: half a banana, split lengthwise, with a half-cup of chocolate Dreyers Grand Lite (or Super-Churned, or whatever they call it now). French Silk is my fav. 150-200 calories, a slim and nutritious treat.

Hey, maybe I should start a new thread on this stuff. How 'bout, "Favorite Things"?

Well I have made it through half of my day without craving or wanting a Pepsi woohoo!!! All my food choices have been great plus I have cut my portions in half... I am pleased, now i have to keep the momentum going!

Tomorrow we add the exercise!!!

Feels good to make it through the day without a struggle, helps to keep focused!!
