Ooh, the suspense is killing me!

I have weigh-in tomorrow. I've logged over 2000 Fitness minutes (280 TOPS Trek miles) so far this month.

That scale had better move down tomorrow!

I do my measurements at the beginning of each month.

WEEK 3 NEW YOU BOOT CAMP PROGRESS OR NOT

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

I want to report that I feel very good about the progress I have made during the two weeks of the NEW YOU BOOTCAMP. I keep a record of my days that I do the prescribed work such as Nicole's Videos & what ever the #2 challenge is plus the times when 30 minutes of cardio is required. My calendar is loaded with stars!!! I put one star for each day that I accomplish all the requirements plus an extra star on Saturday if I did get stars every day. I have solid ***stars*** for two weeks. THAT GIVES ME CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION!!

What I am noticing now is that I need a new motivation. I do not always want to do my cardio and the thought of it makes me so tired. I am not sure what I will use for motivation. One thing that just came to me is to give myself a tempting reward if I finish strong, meaning doing at least 99% by the end of the month. I have not measured yet but think it would be another thing that I should add.

emoticonI just weighed in at my regular meeting and have lost 2.6# emoticon

Yes! Finish strong! Let us know what the reward is.

Then, what will your goals be for next month?

Definitely think about what tempting reward you want. One that is really nice, but not fattening!

I like the quote from Norman Vincent Peale. (My grandfather knew him in college. I guess that dates me!)

WEEK 2 NEW YOU BOOT CAMP PROGRESS

Thursday, January 15, 2009

I feel motivated today not because I have lost a lot of weight but because I can motivate someone else.

I have stuck to the New You Boot Camp through week 2 and realize that the extra excercise will cause weight gain sometimes as it adds muscle so I am not going to get down because of some added weight.

I am feeling more healthy and motivated as I continue on Week 2.

    There you go!

I've done the bootcamp workouts most days, and, yeah, I think my muscles are holding on to extra water. They really ache some days.

I will be glad to finish bootcamp and go back to Pilates. Those lunges are killing me!

2009 THE NEW YOU BOOTCAMP IS AN ANSWER TO PRAYER!!

Thursday, January 08, 2009

Joining the bootcamp with Coach Nicole and all of you is truly an answer to prayer. I now have the second piece of my excercise program. Before I would do walking only on the treadmill, that's all and now I have the strength training and good stretching which is so good for muscles and balance. Also, I have started to do the WATP with Leslie Sansome 'every day' since starting bootcamp on January 4. Praise God!!

I already can feel my stomach tightening and can't wait to see what this does to my arms, legs, and butt!! emoticon

I do the Sansone Walk Away the Pounds, too. I like the upper-body toning I get along with the cardio.

I've started getting a little bored with them, though, so now I check out videos from the library to try. I just had to return Latin Workout, which was really fun, and raised my workout level. Now I add Latin steps to Sansone!

Oh, and I really liked it when I combined Pilates with the videos. That toned me in a hurry. Now I'm doing the SP Bootcamp challenges, but will probably return to Pilates when that ends.

My butt is definitely shrinking. Work your butt off, indeed!

A PRAYER FOR WEIGHT LOSS

Wednesday, September 03, 2008

A Prayer For Weight Loss
Father God, I come to you in the precious name of Jesus that you will perform a miraculous healing in my life concerning my desire to lose weight. Thank you Lord that nothing is impossible with you and that you can help take away my desire to overeat and fill the voids within me that cause me to seek food as a substitute.
Lord, touch my mind right now, help me to see what causes me to overeat, give me a strong desire to want to take care of my body and see it as you do Lord. Help me to make the right food choices and touch my mind with creativity concerning food and what I eat. May I be restored to divine health again.
As I strive to do this Lord, please bless all within me - my cells, and my metabolism - that they will function properly so I can lose the weight. And let me take it one day at a time and not worry about anything else but the cares of the day that I woke up to.
Thank you Father for loving me enough to help me through this.
Amen emoticon

    Elaine,
I agree with you, in Jesus name...and where two or three are gathered together in His name it shall be done!

Thank you, Lord Jesus that as we put you first in all things, we will find favor in your sight and we will be given the desires of our heart, if it be according to thy will. ONLY that thy will (not ours) would be done in our lives.
