Elaine, I am agreeing with you! Yes,believe...WE CAN DO THIS!
GOD IS WATCHING OVER YOU!

Believe

God give us the faith to believe!
We depend on YOU and we will receive.

All things are possible to all
When we put all on the alter and call,

"Jesus, sweet Name in Heaven, this day we face"
You will help this moment with Your grace."

We seek you diligently with belief,
And will thank YOU always as YOU give relief.

ONE DAY AT A TIME, SWEET JESUS

ONE DAY AT A TIME, SWEET JESUS
(Marijohn Wilkins / Kris Kristofferson)

Cristy Lane

Also recorded by:
The Alexander Brothers; Judy Collins; Phil Coulter; Floyd Cramer;
Carlene Davis; Florida Boys; Tennessee Ernie Ford; Foster & Allen;
Bill Gaither; Don Gibson; Arthur Greenslade; Lee Greenwood;
George Hamilton IV; Sharon Hardman.

I'm only human, I'm just a woman.
Help me believe in what I could be
And all that I am.
Show me the stairway, I have to climb.
Lord for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

Chorus:
One day at a time sweet Jesus
That's all I'm asking from you.
Just give me the strength
To do everyday what I have to do.
Yesterday's gone sweet Jesus
And tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord help me today, show me the way
One day at a time.

Do you remember, when you walked among men?
Well Jesus you know if you're looking below
It's worse now, than then.
Cheating and stealing, violence and crime
So for my sake, teach me to take
One day at a time.

(Chorus)
Thanks Dorcas and Clarice for a start on these words. They are so great!

A scripture that goes along with this thought is:

Matthew 6:34 (25-34 is the whole thought) "Be, therefore, not anxious about tomorrow; for tomorrow will be anxious for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is its own evil."

What is the greatest gift you'll ever give...or receive?

http://www.eaglesneedapush.com/?cm_mmc=R

"But They that wait upon the LOED shall renew their strenth, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint." Isaiah 40:31

(Sorry, I don't have the right configuration to play this movie of young eagles soaring after their mum pushes them out of their safe nest on a high jagged cliff.) We can use our imagination for this one. emoticon

I discovered that you can copy and paste this in your browser to listen.

Elaine, one of my favorite verses! Have not seen the film, but liked how you expressed yourself. I think of the verse,"Thou we are weak..yet,HE is strong!" emoticon emoticonsaw my first butterfly yesterday..does anyone know that when you spot a butterfly,it is a symbol of the Holy Spirit..."and He talks with me and He walks with me and He tells me I am His own and the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known!"(In the Garden) My Mother used to be at a Hospice Home where a butterfly bush was outside the beautiful window garden. emoticon

As I watched the movie, I thought, "what if the young eagle is handicapped?" Well, of course, the answer is that they would not survive at all past babyhood.

In human society, most handicapped people can survive, though it is difficult and challenging. But they also can need gentle pushes. I remember a boy in high school who was retarded (but not Down's syndrome). When I met his parents who were older than most parents, I sensed their fear of how he would cope with life once they passed on. They didn't talk about it, but that sense was there. However, they had encouraged him to get a job while still in high school. I don't know if he ever graduated, since he had difficulties with the high school courses.

My mother was also handicapped by severe arthritis. In spite of it, she obtained a Master's degree in education and taught for many years. She had to support herself and me since my father was rarely present -- or locatable. She did well -- though she died at 47 from all the stress.

Goal for May

Saturday, April 24, 2010

I am determined to turn around and really get back with the program!!!

In January I weighted 5.9 pounds less than now and it makes me so sick...I am sick enough to really turn around. Sick of the sin of indulging and allowing Satan to be victorious.

I am striving to excercise more and leave the junk alone. God willing I will see a loss of 6 pounds in May!!

I love the tulips, can relate to the sin.

I have recently focused on 3 healthy meals a day, and it's working. Focus on the GOOD, IN, like 3 healthy meals, 6 veggies, 3 fruits, 12 waters, instead of focusing on the bad, is working for me.

"I am striving to excercise more and leave the junk alone." Great motto for all of us to remember!!! I haven't had junk in quite a while due to health issues, but I do overindulge in fruit occasionally...which is a no no for me.
