This poem is from a dear sister on another team with permission:
I have not finished this poem but as I type it out,the Lord will help, surely. I thought of Jesus asking God three times to remove the cup He was about to suffer with at Calvary. If you were there, what would your conversation be? He did spend every opportunity He had in solitude of prayer.Alone as He was,He did find out God's will.
Just One Moment With Jesus
Lord Jesus, there You are in the garden alone.
Gethsemane, blood sweating for our sins to atone.
You knell to pray--
Peter,James and John sleep,
Not listening to Your plea, "be awake to stay."
Death was sure to come;Did they care?
If it were me? Just one moment,Jesus,
To give You comfort and worship there.
Off will You go to Calvary--
Soon to betrayed but You already know the soldiers will kill and bury.
Will anyone care for the Lamb of God
These final hours?
You never quit on anyone, yet they did,the mob.
But,You will prove to the world soon that,
Victory over the grave and redemption will be fact.
Thank You,Lord,for Your sacrifice!
You did live again!Alleluia! And,soon we will have more then moments with You!
And,we sing this song of praise and grace,oh,how nice!
If you were in the garden that night, what you you say to Jesus? Just that we love Him would be enough.
I Peter 1:3"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."
Thank you Sally!! -(Spark Team A New Song Of Praise Poets)
