TF Prep Schedule - Week 1 - Take 2

Turbo FIRE Prep Schedule - Week 1 (1/7 - 1/13/13)

Monday - Fire 30 Class + Stretch 10 Class
It was tough but I did it. Super happy and feeling good.

Tuesday - Active Rest (Trail Walk)
Wednesday - Stretch 40 Class
Thursday - Tone 30 Class
Friday - Fire 45 EZ Class + Stretch 10 Class
Saturday - Core 20 Class
Sunday - Stretch 40

Well best intentions and all that... But I basically rejected the schedule that I set up for Turbo FIRE last week. Not sure what that about but I'm going to explore that. What I did do was go for a trail walk with a friend that I have not seen for months and it was great. We talked about our struggles and and how we both struggle with the same thing MOTIVATION. Since Thursdays walk I have been feeling so much better.

One of the things that I think has helped is pulling out my GymBoss and going back to eating and drinking to the timer. The first time I sat down to eat with the time was such a wake up call as I could not believe how fast I was eating and this again helped slow my ass down. I have already lost 3 pounds.

Another thing that I have added as a strategy to get motivated and moving is my BFF and I are going to have a little competition. I will be doing Turbo FIRE and she will be doing Insanity, plus any other physical activity we like and at the end of the month whoever has the most Activity Minutes wins. We havn't decided what we would win yet but that is secondary to bragging rights! emoticon

I have had Turbo FIRE for a while now. I started the program late last year but stopped when my field schedule got busy. I'm super excited to start. I need to shake things up and challenge myself and this program will do just that. I plan to set up a blog entry each week and update that entry as the week progresses.

Well when you put it that way I guess I really do have time.

Over the last year I have had a crazy work schedule. I have spent a lot time in hotels away from the comfort of my home, the convenience of my own kitchen, and not in my comfy bed. I've had to work 10 to 12 hours day and I have to say that when I get back to the hotel exercise is the LAST thing on my mind. I have used this excuse way to much. Whats nice is that the rest of the year will be all local projects. Since the slow down I have already lost 5 pounds and I'm feeling better.

I went to the Band Doc and we tried to do a small fill but it looks like I am right where I need to be. I have been eating more (easy to chew foods) and little exercise so my weight has bounced up and down 5 pounds for the last year. At this point what I have been doing will help me maintain my current weight (which is GREAT) but if I want to blast thought this plateau I have to change things up.

Basically I am going to keep is simple and go back to basics and use 4% of my time to exercise.

I have spent so much time in my head its ridiculous. Its time for ACTION not contemplation. I have all the tools. I have all the insight. I everything I need for my journey. I simply need to DO.

Baby steps are going to be key. I don't need to go all out too fast and get burned out. Keep it simple.

    I'm in my head constantly too! I finally realized that I spent more time in my head beating myself up than actually doing anything. That realization got me started on Insanity. Once you realize that you're ready, you can do anything. Hang in there!

  Always remember that if you have a bad meal, you can get back on track with the next one. Also reward yourself when you successfully complete things from exercise goals and nutrition. Tell yourself you did a great job.
