Ok, I've actually done the 12 min kettlebell w/o TWICE this week.....Again it kicked my a$$! I still don't think I've got the form quite right, but i'll continue working on it, and hopefully in the next few sessions I'll notice some improvement....I'll also be starting the Abs Diet(for Women ) on Monday 9/29(along with a friend of mine, so we can both be accountable for one another) and will update my progress here every two weeks for 6 wks....If you don't have the book, get it or rent it from your local library!! It's full of valuable info!

Well, I finally received my very 1st kettlebell DVD in the mail today! So excited and nervous! Now to get started using it! This looks like fun yet very challenging...have to make sure I get the form perfect! A BIG THANK YOU to Blue*Radley for allowing me to lean on you during this introductory period! You've been such a wonderful help to me :))

I am soooo very disappointed with myself, thus far. I was totally doing great lost 2 lbs (water i know), and then I don't know what happend! I don't feel like doing any exercises, although I've still been drinking water and eating OK...not the best but not the worst! Hub has asked me to get a kettlebell and try using it and see how it goes, he's also sending me an instructional DVD....so I've got this kettlebell; now what?! .....I'm just in a funk i guess, I miss my husband terribly, my kids are getting on my nerves, and not listening, and have definatley improved their back-talking skills, I clean my house EVERY day...everything's the same, (think groundhog day effect)Sorry done girls for letting you down...I'm going to try and get myself out of this, and hopefully in a couple days I'll be back........ emoticon everyone....

    Put the kids to bed. Go to the bathroom, run a bath (with bubbles), light a scented candle, grab your favorite book, a tall glass of water and take some time to just relax. Being a single parent can be hard but you can do this. Just take a deep breath and focus on what you are trying to do for yourself. emoticon

    Cleaning is good! So you are doing something. It's not like you are vegging at the TV all day, not with kids in the house. It's natural to miss hubby and it's hard, but he'll be back in no time, so come on get back on your healthy program and really make him proud of you upon his return.

    Try to snap out of this funk and buff your stuff while hubby is not home, he will appreciate you even more. You gotta fight this funk and take back your life..
Kids are tough and I am a widow. I have two sons with ADHD, if the kids don't listen I remove their most treasured items from them until one gets their attention. I am mommy monster but they know I mean business if I say stop.. I accidently take the internet connections to work, forget pocket money and other stuff so they don't even go there to not listening. When I take something for a week or a month, it is a week or a month. Children cotton on real fast to listening, begging and pleading gets rewarded with a extra days removal and being sent to their room... Gotta be strict to be kind. My most outward reacting ADHD is settling into a bright teenager and has learned empathy towards people around him. My youngest has had strict rules of conduct since he was 8 years old and being watched at a childrens mental home by two special teachers 24-7 over 6 months to see how we could be control him, as was not hyper to need medication.. I had have a kid that had a violent temper, whom is now able to control his temper, trusted and against all odds has lots of friends and listens to my every demand with respect.. If kids have temper tantrums, send them to their room and act cold. My youngest gets time alone and usually comes back and apologizes for the unpleasant time he has given me.. Kids need rules to know where they stand with us.

I'm so ready for this! As I was rocking my lil one to sleep, I dozed off and was thinking about how I needed to get a plan together, something for like Sept 1- Oct.30...Hubby might be coming home sooner than expected so I need to get moving! I woke up, decided to come on SP to see what I could find to help me out...Well, low and behold I came upon the Done Group, and discovered they were getting a halloween challenge started! Here's my proposed plan:

1) DRINK WATER! I seem to have trouble here..I do it for awhile than it begins to fade out.
2) REALIZE my scale loves to deceive me, while my tape measure befriends me!
3)ACCEPT my body...God gave it to me, so He must think it's HOT! LOL

I will be doing cardio for at least 45 min 6 days/week......I've been using a Leslie Sansone vid and will continue with that for the next 5 weeks....After which I'll see where I stand and decide if I need to change that up a bit...On Tues/ Fri I'll be doing the Bikini Workout, which is here on SP, as my Strength Training....Plus incorporating the weekly challenge of the group.

Measurements 8/29/08:

Neck: 13.5
Bust: 38
Chest(under bust): 35
Waist: 33.5
Pouch(at belly-button): 40
Hips: 41
Rt/Lt Arm: 12.5/12.75
Rt/Lt Thigh: 24/24

OMG....I can't believe I'm showing these to everyone! LOL As you can see, there's work to be DONE!

You've heard about people who have been abducted and had their kidneys
removed by black-market organ thieves. My thighs were stolen from me
during the night a few years ago. I went to sleep and woke up with
else's thighs. It was just that quick. The replacements had the
cooked oatmeal. Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine?

I spent the entire summer looking for my thighs. Finally, hurt and
angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans.

And then the thieves struck again.

My butt was next. I knew it was the same gang of thieves, because they
took pains to match my new rear-end to the thighs they had stuck me
earlier. Those bastards!!! But my new butt was attached at least three
lower than my original! I realized I'd have to give up my jeans in

long skirts.

Two years ago I realized my arms had been switched. One morning I was
fixing my hair and was horrified to see the flesh of my upper arm
and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting

P.S. Last week I thought some one had stolen my boobs. I was lying in
bed and they were gone! But when I jumped out of bed, I was relieved
