Happy Mother's Day!

Sunday, May 12, 2013

We have season's tickets to Broadway musicals here in our city. When we get them, we don't usually check the dates more than one at a time. Two weeks ago we realized that our last show was on Mother's Day. Today we are going to see Les Miserables! This is the 6th time I have seen it on the stage and never get tired of. Best Mother's Day I could wish for!

Warning! ;)

Saturday, May 11, 2013

To all those who live in the same type of weather area as I do, I apologize in advance. I have switched from my flannel sheets to regular sheets, put the snowbrush away yesterday, bought and hung 4 hanging plants, and, worst of all, discovered that my husband has turned off the furnace! Do you know what that means? I am like the groundhog. It usually means cold, wet, rainy, and windy weather for quite a while. I am so sorry - I waited as long as I could. At least, the house is so cold that I can't sit around. So up and exercising! emoticon emoticon

I turned off my furnace and today my son helped me take the storm windows out. Glad I did not put away my space heater nor electric lap throw! I think today was in the low 50s here in Columbus, OH.

Butterfly--you could end up with a house full with a comment like that--LOL

Fitbit

Friday, May 10, 2013

I am now a Fitbit Zip owner. Not exactly sure what to do with it, but I apparently got it synced all right, since stuff started showing up here. Supposedly, it won't synch to my IPad 2. We will see if it's helpful or not! emoticon emoticon

Enjoy! I love my Fitbit Zip! It's motivational to see the numbers climbing as the day goes by. Makes me want to get in those extra steps when I can. Hope you enjoy yours!

Enjoy! I have a FitBit One so I'm not familiar with the Zip, but I believe all Fitbit products are awesome from what I've heard. I know for me, I set goals for each day and I love to check my One to see where I am. It motivates me everyday to work to surpass the goals I've set.

Change is Hard!

Thursday, May 09, 2013

I see why people say start with baby steps. Taking on a lot of new goals means big changes. While you yourself have to be committed to making changes in your life, you are not alone! That's what's so great about SP. Our goals may be different, but we support each other! emoticon

I agree completely. I don't think I could have persevered with this healthy path without the Spark community. I would have gotten discouraged and given up long ago. Small steps and community support is a winning combination.

It is hard, but being here and receiving all the support from fellow sparkers makes it easier, so nice to hear a woo hoo when needed or a "you can do it" emoticon emoticon

Change is hard! And we often resist making those changes. SP helps make it feel less like we're on the island alone.

No Regrets

Wednesday, May 08, 2013

The time has come for me to stop thinking about what could have been if only I had done this or if I had done this. Yes, I have made bad choices about health throughout my life, but I can't worry about that. I can no longer control those years. They are gone, so get rid of all the regrets and move on with the next phase of my life.
