Tracking or Back-Tracking?

Sunday, May 05, 2013

This weekend I learned an important lesson and I will probably have to learn it again and again. As you can probably guess, I am not a quick learner. I have ACTIVELY been on this site for a month today. Everything had been going along swimmingly and I had been saying to myself, "I've got this, I've really got this!" Unfortunately, Friday night came and, wow, I certainly didn't have it! I realize now that I never will, and that is OK. I can never follow the right path all the time, but I know now that I also have the power to backtrack to the right path instead of keeping on the same wrong path. This is what I have always done in the past. I would keep on the same path, even though I knew it was the wrong, never bothering to turn back until I got further and further away. While I would like to say my goal is never to go down the wrong path, my goal now is when I go down the wrong path, backtrack as quickly as possiBle! Have a committed week!

Very nicely stated! Someone on this site posted about 'progress not perfection', and I think that's what you are saying here. Even our mistakes are ok, as long as we learn from them and can reroute back to where we need to be. You are wise!

We all have those bad choice meals on occasion. Fortunately, weight is not carved in stone so there's always a way to correct it. Something to be thankful for! emoticon
