Success

Monday, April 29, 2013

My one takeaway from a very long professional development day was this quote by Winston Churchill.
Love it!

Finally!

Sunday, April 28, 2013

. I hate winter, but I love when spring finally arrives! To go out everyday and find something new and growing is special. Plants do it year after year and you can count on it. This year this has taken on special significance since I am committed to changing my life and be consistent about it. I can't say I am close to being a daffodil yet, but I am more like one of my hydrangeas that I discovered yesterday. Just beginning, but full of promise! Have a blessed day!

No Choice!

Saturday, April 27, 2013

What made me come to Spark People and will make me stay here? The realization that I really had no choice. As I am nearing 60, the only choice I could make was getting as healthy as I can. While I wouldn't consider this journey a complete success unless I lost some weight, it will not define my journey.

I need to day to day tracking and encouragement and usually learn something while I am doing that.

Your decision, your choice, and you have made it. You will find lots of support to reinforce your own strength.

Consistency

Friday, April 26, 2013

I have seldom been consistent, with the exception of bad habits, in my life. It is a lot harder to be consistent with the good things. So far, I have been consistent with water and logging on here. Exercise is pretty good, but food is tough. I'm a picky eater, as my husband says, and it's hard to get the right balance, but I'm working on it!

All you can do is tackle one thing at a time. When you have that mastered then go on to the next thing.

its easier being consistant with good things. why is that?

Will to Succeed

Thursday, April 25, 2013

I am thinking the will to succeed is the most crucial thing in a person's life. When things aren't going your way (big or small), the people that keep on going no matter what are ultimately successful. I have to believe and remember this!
