More challenges on the horizon

Saturday, December 27, 2014

UP early struggling with emails again today. Weight is holding steady over the holidays so far. Exercises are going well. Calories remain below 1300. Trivia is still at 96%. Less than 3000 points to level 25. Keeping focused for success. Got the roof looked at yesterday and the prognosis is not exciting. Hope all are having a great holiday season.

Another challenge

Wednesday, December 24, 2014

This site is frustrating again a it does not always respond to any of our machines during the most inopportune times. We discovered that the leak we had repaired in the back bedroom reappeared during these last torrential downpours. I called Vanderheyden and left a message for him to get back to us to resolve the issue. Hopefully he will get back to us soon. It is very frustrating. We picked up most of the food and supplies we needed for the holiday season yesterday. Gasoline was down to $2.27/gallon hen e got back into town which was lower than it was in Pensacola and take another five cents off for using the Walmart credit card at Murphy gas. At leas that is one thing in our favor this year.
Exercises are going well. Weight is steady. Calories remain below 1300. Trivia is still at 96%. I have to pick up our oldest grandson and take him to mass with me at four this afternoon. We then have to go over to his house for the annual Christmas eve party. Tomorrow morning we have brunch on Opal beach. Afterwards we have to drop off the grandsons' gifts and return home for a quiet day. At least the weather has calmed don a lot. Keeping focused for success and no weight gain during the holiday season.. Hope all are enjoying the holiday season this year.

First winter days along the Gulf Coast

Tuesday, December 23, 2014

A rainy start to the 65 degree day with a dense fog advisory and high rip current warnings for the Gulf waters. We have to go to Pensacola for the supplies needed for the rest of the holiday season this morning. We took the grandsons on a tour of Christmas lighting in Navarre and Gulf Breeze last night and stopped at McDonald's for dinner. It was very successful and picturesque. They took many pictures with the oldest's I-phone. We are getting ready for Christmas morning brunch on the beach with family and friends. Christmas eve we are all going over to our youngest daughter's after 4:00 pm. mass for the annual Christmas celebration. We are planning a quiet shrimp feast Christmas day for the two of us. We will stop at the world famous Joe Patty's seafood market today to pick up some nice shrimp. We are fortunate to live in this area with al the great things that come from the Gulf.
Exercises are going well. Weight is steady. Calories remain below 1300. Trivia is down to 96%. Keeping focused to not gain weight during the holiday season. Hope all are enjoying the first days of the winter season. Gas prices are down to $2.26/gallon here.

It would be AWESOME to live next to an area where fresh fish is readily available. However I still enjoy the fish and shrimp we have available to us.

Sorry I haven't post on your blogs lately. I've been working from my iPad and it doesn't let me respond. Not sure what I am doing wrong with it.
