My Husband Started It

I'm getting happier by the day. It all started when my pack rat of a husband began boxing things up and organizing them out in the storage unit. I felt free. I was so excited! It's like having my home back again. I was feeling like I was living in a storage shed.

Once he started, I got so inspired I went at it full force. I've been weeding through my things and getting rid of a lot. There are going to be some happy crafters out there because a lot is getting donated to Sunday school and the senior center.

One room left to go. There isn't that much stuff in it, so it should go quickly. I'm thrilled!

    Great for you! I find it so difficult to get rid of crafting items, because I still craft and do it with GK. too. I am concerned about getting rid of something and having to replace it. However, there are lots of other things I am getting rid of. Some patterns, some books, some clothes,, and throwing out a lot of paper clutter. I read some where that when we are reducing clutter, try to get rid of 50 things a day. I do that some days. Whew! What a relief! emoticon

I'm Noticing Things by Journaling

One odd pattern I have noticed is I seem to fizzle out in the exercise department mid-week. I always say Sonday is my rest day, but then end up doing lots of non-structured exercise. Come Tuesday or Wednesday I just can't give it my all. From now on I'll listen to my body and take it easy one or both of those days.

Another strange. If I don't get my peanut butter and banana sandwich sometime during the morning, no matter what else I am eating, I just seem hungry. I've tested this theory and sure enough, it holds water.

I'm sure I'll notice other things as time goes on and I read old entries.

It sounds like you're body is telling you it needs a rest day or two. Smart body!! Currently I take my rest days on Saturday and Sunday, just because they're so busy I can't fit any exercise in anyway.

The Morning of Day 12

I'm doing it! I'm amazing myself. I don't know about losing pounds, but I do know I feel better and am sleeping better.

I'm getting my tracking done early. Last week was a struggle keeping in range. The weekend was a struggle getting enough calories and nutrients. It has all worked out.

I'm going to take my border collie to the park and do walk/jog training 5K after dinner. That is, if we don't have a repeat of last night and thunderstorms came up suddenly.

Two New Beginnings

Saturday, August 10, 2013

Today begins week #3 of the summer 5% challenge. Sleep is the goal this week for Living the Good Life points. (also the theme of today's Spark Coach plateau buster program). I was shocked to get in 8 hours.

The other beginning today is training for a 5k (two coming up) walk/jog program here on SP. Day One done! Hubby went along and the time passed quickly. I did get a little winded and was sore from doing a 2 mile Leslie Sansone routine in the pool yesterday, but I did it!

    Sleep has been a struggle for me lately. My family's schedules keep changing so that changes our sleep patterns and I'm lucky to get 6 hours some nights. I hope you get the sleep you need.

Waldo Waldo

I'm sure many of you remember hearing about the devastating Waldo Canyon Fire in Colorado Springs last year. There was a 5k held to raise money for the victims.

In October Waldo Waldo #2 will be held at
America the Beautiful Park. I plan to be there in costume.

Time to resume training!
