I Got New Workout Shoes!

emoticon The shoes I ordered last week came today! I tried them on and they fit perfectly! These shoes are called "Barefoot" endorsed by Tony Little. They are so light and comfy it's like wearing slippers. I thought about ordering 2 pair. Now I wish I did.

I don't even need to break them in. Just the same, I'll be wearing them all week so my body will be used to them for the big walk. I am so excited I'm going to do some exercise in them right now!

5% Challenge, Week 5 Day 7

We'll see what the scale says in the morning at weigh in, but I can say I feel great. Tired, a little sore pushing myself with the exercises, but great!

the ole "no pain no gain" is a bruu haa...
you can work out...eat right & feel good...no need for pain!

5 Miles with Leslie

"Leslie Sansone Walk at Home: 5 miles"

It went great. Oh, I admit about mile 3 I was getting weak. I figured I'd do at least 4 of the 5. Before I knew it I was finishing mile 4. I was feeling better now than I did a mile ago! The goats were free-ranging so I had to keep my eye on them so they didn't get up into the road. That took my mind off what I was doing. I heard Leslie say we were halfway through mile 5! Of course I can do that last 6 minutes. So I did!

Of course walking in the charity walk will be straight walking. Doing this workout gave me confidence. I'm not the least bit nervous about the walk anymore. If I can do 5 miles while kicking, side-stepping and doing a little upper-body resistence training that event will be fun and maybe even easy!

    Walking is so good, so glad to hear that you are doing it. It sounds like it is giving you some confidence too. Walking is my major exercise. I walk with my dog and we do probably 2-3 every day and then at work another 2 miles.
