I was so excited this morning when I opened the email, Eagerly-Awaited New and Upcoming Books, from my book club to see that The Spark was on the top.

To hot to walk.

Sunday, August 09, 2009

I went outside to walk my dog and it was so hot out we came right back inside. I will be happy when cooler weather gets here (not cold just cooler)!

I may have that problem tomorrow. After a cold and rainy summer, the weather report says it will be humid and very hot tomorrow and Tuesday. I guess I will just do underwater jumping jacks at the lake!!

My dogs want to start the walk everyday - each time I go out of the house, actually. If it's too hot, my fat little Pom poops out in less than 10 minutes - but she's ready to try again the next time I go outside. My Papillion is an Energizer Puppy - he's always ready to go and to go farther! Silly pups.

Walking with Leslie again.

Saturday, August 08, 2009

I have decided to drag out my leslie tapes/dvds again. I started walking with Leslie again yesterday. So far it is fun again.

New Leslie Sansone dvd's

Friday, March 27, 2009

Just before I hurt my back in Jan. my 3 mile tape quit working. I wasn't able to do any exercise for a while so I didn't replace it.

I have started walking with Leslie again doing the 2 mile walk. I thought "I will do the one mile and the two mile that should be just like doing the three mile tape" WRONG! I wasn't getting enough out of the two mile and adding the one mile did nothing for me.

I order a new dvd and I finally got it this week, it is 2 miles walk/jog (great) and 3 fast miles. I love them. I am enjoying my walk again! YAAAAAY!

Finally Finished!

Tuesday, February 10, 2009

Well, I finally finished a cross-stitch project that has been very difficult for me.

I used to cross-stitch a lot and my grandmother “Granny” said she would like to try cross-stitching; I told her I didn’t think she would be able to see the little hole but she insisted that she could. I bought her a kit and gave it to her as a gift. She took one look at it and said, “I won’t be able to see the little holes”! I told her I would do it for her but my life went a little crazy and I didn’t get around to it.

My grandmother died and I still had not even started the cross-stitch kit so I decided I should do it for her, but every time I looked at it, I cried. I finally started it, worked a little, and cried a lot.

To my horror I started running out of thread, I thought a kit was suppose to have every thing you needed. I ran out of almost all of the thread included in the kit plus the blending filament. I was able to get the tread but not the blending filament. I contacted the company and I was sent and email that my email was sent to another company but that company said they didn’t do the kit. I contacted the company again to let them know that the other place didn’t put together the kit and all I got was s-o-r-r-y!

Take a look at the cross-stitch in my photo gallery; it is entitled “In loving memory of my Granny, Marjorie".

It's wonderful! What a great tribute. You have such a gift for this, your things are lovely. And no one would ever know you ran out of their thread.

Congratulations -- hang it in a special place! (I never have enough thread in those kits -- i think it's some kind of scam!)

Been missing you on the boards -- hope all is well!
