Well, I finally finished a cross-stitch project that has been very difficult for me.
I used to cross-stitch a lot and my grandmother “Granny” said she would like to try cross-stitching; I told her I didn’t think she would be able to see the little hole but she insisted that she could. I bought her a kit and gave it to her as a gift. She took one look at it and said, “I won’t be able to see the little holes”! I told her I would do it for her but my life went a little crazy and I didn’t get around to it.
My grandmother died and I still had not even started the cross-stitch kit so I decided I should do it for her, but every time I looked at it, I cried. I finally started it, worked a little, and cried a lot.
To my horror I started running out of thread, I thought a kit was suppose to have every thing you needed. I ran out of almost all of the thread included in the kit plus the blending filament. I was able to get the tread but not the blending filament. I contacted the company and I was sent and email that my email was sent to another company but that company said they didn’t do the kit. I contacted the company again to let them know that the other place didn’t put together the kit and all I got was s-o-r-r-y!
Take a look at the cross-stitch in my photo gallery; it is entitled “In loving memory of my Granny, Marjorie".
