Tweeking workout for last 10 pounds

Wednesday, November 03, 2010

After doing the P90X workout I had to rework my workouts. It is very time consuming and more toward muscle mass than weight loss. I also had to deal with tendinitis in my arms which left me extremely sore. I lost 30 pounds before I started it and only 8 while on it for three months. My goal now is to loose 10 pounds and be as fit as I need to be for everyday life.

Horse rescue updated

Friday, May 28, 2010

I am designing and creating a sculpture for the Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society. They cover Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. There is a page on Facebook that shows the whole process from design to completion. The piece will be auctioned of at their Expo show this fall. Please have a look and tell others. This is a great organization and they help allot of horses. I have a foster horse myself.

"Purple Donkeys" on Facebook. Have a look!

Is anyone doing the P90X?

Wednesday, May 26, 2010

I would like to buddy up with someone who is doing or about to do the P90X challenge. I have been having trouble finding a workout that is hard enough so i thought I would give it a try. I have taken the fitness test to start it and passed easily. I even found out I can do a pull up! I have never been able to do that.

Stuck again

Monday, May 03, 2010

I have been stuck at the same weight for three weeks. The good news is I haven't gained any. Last time I went up and down 2 pounds. I have added on to my combined training and taken most of my cardio outdoors, either riding my bike or riding my horse. I have jumps set up in the arena and we try and school over them once a week. She is not in great shape but getting there. Jumping is a great muscle and cardio builder for the horse and rider. And most of all, it is FUN!

I looked in the mirror today

Monday, March 29, 2010

I have avoided looking in the mirror when I get out of the shower for almost two years now. Today I looked. 14 pounds down... not too bad! 15 more to go but I am pumped to do it now. I'm even thinking of a new swimsuit. emoticon
