Yes, I was so focused on breaking the next 10-lb point (i.e., going below 130) that this great accomplishment almost didn't register :)

Last few pounds

Thursday, September 16, 2010

I decided to do a short round to get rid of these last few pounds and get under 130. I want to be in a good position for the holidays, although I may have to do a short repair round in January :)

I am surprised how well I am doing (averaging more than 1/2 pound per day) considering that I have so little to lose and am using a modified plan of 800 calories per day, which is really easy to follow. I was also very happy at how I was able to eat on stabilization and maintenance. I didn't have much bread but I had organic cookies, cake or chocolates frequently. Followed a low-carb South Beach style diet and limited sweets to 75 cal per day. Steak days were easy and miraculous!

Good luck to everyone just starting out! This is the best diet and it absolutely works for everyone :)

Worked like a charm!

Saturday, July 24, 2010

Well "steak day" worked like a charm! I lost a little over 2 lbs, which brought me to 134. Excellent! After avoiding them like the plague, it's nice to know they work :)

I don't care for not eating all day, lol, so I have been using Steak and Egg days to pull back if I near the 2# over mark and they are super. They are discussed in P & I. I usually lose about 1.5 on that corrective day and being able to have the eggs for breakfast make it an easy correction day. I tried the steak day yesterday because I just didn't feel hungry in the morning. I had the cookies and ribs and quite a bit of food the day before so not eating until 6 pm wasn't hard. I did have a little cream in my coffee as I always do and still lost 2.2 so I don't think that matters. I do that on steak and egg days, too. So stabilization has been pretty easy for me without any great weight fluctuations (until my dinner party next week, lol).

I think that my body really has a strong homeostatic pull. It sets up very easily. It is probably the reason that I never had to battle my weight (until it was elevated by medications) and makes me very optimistic for keeping it off. I also read in Trudeau's great book that a lot his friends find they gain 10 or so pounds in a year and do a 3 week round of hCG once a year (probably in January after the holidays :) to get back on track. Hopefully, it won't go that far but it's so nice to know that you can nip it in the bud if it does.

Thanks to hCG -- We will never be fat again -- WOOT!

Hiya, I've been interested in HCG for a while.
I see so many sites that promote the homeopathic oral HCG.
What do you think?

There is "steak day" and "steak and egg day". Dr. S discusses both in different sections of P & I. I have read P & I several times and will probably read it again :)

    Love the last line! Woohoo!

I didn't realize the steak day included eggs. Then again, my brain is so full of random hCG info, I don't doubt I've missed a lot as well!

Want to try a steak day!

Friday, July 23, 2010

Well, I don't really need a steak day but I have never tried one. I was up a pound this morning from my LIW (135) and usually I will eat clean for a day or two and it comes right off. It's not surprising that I gained because I had three large dutch chocolate cookies and Chinese ribs for dinner - - yum! I try not to go too overboard and I never go off a low carb diet for two days in a row so I have been doing quite well at staying within the 2 lbs. Even having a slice of bread or equivalent here and there - again, just not two days in a row.

I want to try a steak day because I am in the mood to have a really *huge* steak :)

I guess I am practicing because next week I have a dinner party and will probably need a steak day after that, lol.

I'm so excited ... I ordered a pedal boat the other day and it should get here Monday or Tuesday. We have 5 ponds on our property and the biggest is about an acre or so. Not huge, but big enough to drown one of our horses who fell through the ice a few winters back - yeesh! Might be big enough for a kayak but a four-person pedal boat has both exercise and social potential :)

Finally, I will be able to get in the water with the dogs :) I will take some pictures!!!

I don't know how I could last alllll day not eating!? I enjoy a really good steak, but... enough to not eat all day? Yikes!!! How do you do it?!

Happy Independence Day! Decided to free myself of dieting -- WOOHOO!!!

Sunday, July 04, 2010

Wishing all of my fellow Sparkers a very happy Independence Day! Let us all remember that we live in the (still) greatest country in the world :)

emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

While it is true that in recent years our country has been taken over by a cartel of international banksters and that powerful foreign lobbies control our congress and senate, the good news is that most of us realize that now and are working on all levels to regain control, make our votes count (bring back paper ballots!), kick the bums out and take our glorious country back...Praise the Lord!!!

On a personal level, I've decided to free myself of dieting and move into a low-carb lifestyle. At 21.5 BMI, I am thinner than I have been in over 20 years and very comfortable in my old clothes (which are now roomy - the way I like them!). After stabilizing, I will turn my attention to body toning and that will probably get me to precisely where I want to be. In the meantime, I am having so much fun, wearing makeup and jewelry again, and even ordered colored contacts :)

Good luck to everyone, particularly those doing hCG! Those just starting out - know that it works for everyone - just follow it to the letter, particularly the first month. I will forever be in debt to Dr. Simeons and Kevin Trudeau for introducing me to the hCG diet on the Alex Jones radio show and helping me to take my life back.

I am so happy for you and jealous (in the good way) of you at the same time. I can read how happy you are with yourself. That is WONDERFUL. And your words of encouragement REALLY help me. I have to believe this will work. I hope that there comes a day that I am comfortable with myself again, the way you are with yourself today. I will keep reading your blogs, checking your updates. Congrats on your success!!
