I'm Back...formally CLASSYNFABULOUS

Monday, June 13, 2011

I'm back to using SP. I was doing weight watchers (still am) just going to use SP to track my foods and stuff. I decided to change my name from CLASSYNFABULOUS to SWEETLILPIGGY because I just wanted a change. I figure I'm sweet :) so that works, and my mom nick-named me her lil piggy A LONG TIME AGO! She hates that I can cheat and I still lose however when she cheats she gains. I think it's because I'm younger...but who knows.

I've lost 6 pounds since starting weight watchers, less than a month ago and hope to continue my losing streak! I gained a lot back from what I originally lost due to a major foot injury, that I am still dealing with.

Anyway just wanted to put a quick blog out there that I am back. I need to get used to SP again, there has been a lot of change. Best of luck to you all! :) Happy Sparking!

First blog of 2011

Sunday, January 30, 2011

Well, I'm back. I've actually been "back" since Jan 3rd, 2011. All I really do on this site now, is weigh in. I also leave encouragement for others and read the comments people leave me. I appreciate those! :) They keep my motivation going.

At first I started measuring my food and counting calories. I have to tell you I HATE THAT! So, I started reading about the Mayo Clinic Diet. Most say it's a fad diet and you can't lose weight with it, however those who say that are WRONG! In the month of January I have lost 9.4 pounds. I have to admit...I haven't done one bit of exercise. Which isn't good, but to give myself a boast, I purchased the workout dvd's TurboFire. It looks like so much fun! They arrived yesterday and I'll be starting them soon (probably tomorrow).

With the Mayo Clinic diet, my diet manly consists of fruits and veggies (not my fav, but I'm getting used to it). I have found a new love for V-8 Splash. It's a drink, yes, but after I finish drinking it, I'm full. Pretty amazing! I love that I can still eat cereal, pasta, and just has to be whole wheat. Not a problem, that's all I eat anyway. I actually found a pasta that is made out of veggies (it does contain some wheat). It's pretty delicious too! Never would have thought that. Glad I took a chance and tried it.

As far as outside of my diet, most of you may know that in January of 2010 I severely injured my foot. I broke my ankle, broke a bone in my foot, tore a ligament, and I have a torn tendon. Along with the torn tendon, I have adhesions on the tendon sheath. (This all happened from passing out, so I have no idea what really happened. I passed out due to a medication I was on.) At this point surgery is needed, but it's not happening for several reasons. One being my weight and two being there isn't any guarantee that it will solve my problem. I was in an orthopedic boot for 11 months. YES, 11 months. I was able to take it off from time to time but I had to wear sneakers (I hate sneakers, I'm a flip flop kinda gal!), and thankfully I could take it off while showering, unlike the cast I had to wear for 2 weeks. I'm glad to be out of that thing! I'm not steady at all, with the injury, my ankle is very weak. My doc forbid me from wearing high heels, and my beloved flip flops. :( I'm hoping that as I slowly add weight lifting and cardio to my routine, my ankle will strengthen up as well.

I still can't find a job, I graduated in May 2009. This economy is awful and I really hope it turns around VERY SOON (as many of you prob feel the same way). If I don't find a GOOD job soon I'll be returning back to school to get my Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. I plan to start sometime in the summer or fall. Fingers are crossed that I get a job though. Much rather be making money than taking out loans.

Well, I hope you all had a great week! Sorry for the book! Have a great day and thank you to anyone who reads this. :)

Hey girl! emoticon emoticon emoticon on the weight loss last month! Sorry to hear about the ankle, tho. Sheesh! I'm frustrated with my stinking wrist, so I can NOT IMAGINE how U have felt during this ankle business.

Also sorry to hear U still haven't found a job in your field. Midwest is doing a little better economy wise. Omaha has actually improved unemployment wise. Just have to put up with the foot of snow & frigid temps! LOL! I know, not your cup of tea. Hard to get around in all this with a bum ankle.

Know I think of U & your mom often. Sure miss U 2!

Back to counting calories

Thursday, May 06, 2010

I lost 12 pounds on the hcg diet. Yay, however I had to stop it because I was having the worst stomach issues ever! I just couldn't take it anymore, so I decided to just start counting calories again and lifting weights.

I lifted weights today for the first time since I injured my foot in January. OMG I'm already so sore. I only used 5 pound weights...I'm glad I didn't go for using 12 right of the bat...I wouldn't be able to move tomorrow. I feel sore already but I also feel like a have a lot more energy. It feels good. =)

I took a few days break before starting to count calories again after stopping the hcg diet, so I hope my WI on Sunday isn't too bad.

Week 1 of hCG diet a success!

Sunday, March 28, 2010

My first week of being on the hCG diet was a success. On March 21st I WI at 254.4, today I WI at 244.8 pounds...9.6 pounds gone forever! emoticon

I have to say I am soooo sick of the foods you have to eat on this diet to restrict you to only 500 calories a day. I am sooooo sick of makes me sick thinking about it. LOL I really never feel hungry and I basically only eat the 500 calories because I have to.

I never thought I'd say this but I can't wait to start measuring foods and counting calories again. I miss eating my morning cereal and being able to snack on cereal at night while watching a movie. This diet sucks when it comes to movies because you can't have any snacks. :( I love my movie and snack time. :)

I guess I should stop complaining because this diet is helping me lose weight and by the time I'm done I'll be 10-15 pounds shy of my lowest weight in only a total of 43 days (instead of it taking 6 months) since falling off the weight loss wagon in 2009.

I love this quote by Mario Andretti:
"Desire is the key to motivation, but it's determination and commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal-a commitment to excellence-that will enable you to attain the success you seek."

I read the quote above when I have the desire to eat something that is not allowed on the hCG diet and it seems to work. Hope it continues to work.

Well, I'm off. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a successful weigh in. emoticon

Hi! and congrats to you Classy! I just started my first week on hcg as well. I'm having trouble with foods to add up to 500 cals. Do you have any suggested meal ideals?

I have just started HCG and my big concern is keeping the weight off after I'm taking the drops etc. Since this post is over a year old I have to ask:

Is the weight still gone? Did you stick closely to the phase 3 and phase 4 parts of the diet as well?

Good for you! I discovered some good go to foods to get me over the boring food. The recipeis in the HCG bookd I bought had way too many flavors formy simple palate.

I cook some chicken in vegetable or chicken broth them after it is done I throw in a few tablespoons of organic sugar free, fat free medium salsa and cook it til it almost burns. Throw it on some lettuce leaves and away you go. In theory it is mixing vegetables, but I am losing pretty well and it keeps me on track.

The other go to is same chicken but I do two tablespoons of hot sauce, throw in my crushed melba toast and put it on lettuce. The crunchy spicy melba makes it taste like a fried buffalo chicken salad.

I started craving chocoate when I was pms ing and I read about using defatted non alkalai cocoa powder - Hersheys regular cocoa powder works. I split strawberries do a pinch of the chocolate powder and use a packet of truvia.

My final easy dessert is hopped apples cooked for a few minutes in the microwave then I put some crushed melba toast, cinnamon, and truvia on top. Yum

Hang in there!

Back on the wagon AGAIN!

Monday, March 22, 2010

I guess I was MOD on my 3 year Spark Anniversary...So I wanted to say Thank You to those who commented on my profile. :) I haven't really been good (healthy wise) at all since my ankle/foot injury. I've been in an extreme amount of pain and just haven't really cared. I know life gets in the way, but it's time to change that.

On March 21, 2010 (my 3 yr SP Anniversary) I started using hcg and I hope it's the key to my weight loss success story. Today is my last day to eat whatever I possibly want (which is hard to do when you aren't really hungry). Starting tomorrow it's 500 calories a day...I'll be doing this for 40 days, and then starting all over again. I look forward to seeing a good and fast weight loss and keeping it off.

Anyway...I'm happy to be getting back on track.
