LIFE* for my friends.......past and present.

Life is a blend of the good and the bad,
A bit of the glad and a bit of the sad’
A pinch of contentment, a time of unrest,
A dash of the worst and a lot of the best’
A little of failure, a little of luck,
A bit of disaster and plenty of pluck’:
And who would live long must be willing to know
Winter anad summer and sunshine and snow.

Life is a mixture of laughter and tears,
Hope and despair are a part of the years:
Someone is born and then somebody dies,
Someone is foolish and someone is wise”
Someone is false to us, someone is true,
Now it is play and then tasks we must do:
Who grows to manhood must learn how to take
Joy with its laughter and care with its ache.

Life is a blend of the good and the ill,
And we must bear what shall come by His will:
There must come tears to the brightest eyes,
Care visits the rich and the strong and the wise:
No one escapes when the rain pelts down,
Today you may smile but tomorrow may frown;
So stand to your portion of sorrow and strife,
And know that it’s all in the battle called LIFE!

I AM a citizen of the United States of America.
I AM NOT a SENIOR anything....not a SENIOR in high school; nor a SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT of a company...no SENIOR ANYTHING!
Age discrimination is what that term means to me and I absolutely REFUSE to put a label on anyone----particularly on myself! As mentioned in Grey's Anatomy the other night......"I don't want to look back at all my yesterdays ". My todays and tomorrows are what interest me now. I look to today with enthusiasm and to the future as experiences of positive adventures; NEW PLACES, NEW PEOPLE...NEW PURPOSE!
I love my age! There is nothing "SENIOR" about me....My life has been a beautiful one and I cherish every moment....the good and the bad. MATURE? Sometimes THAT is even in question! SO THERE! LOL. Relax.....find humor in this life. Enjoy....being you at whatever age you are. Live in the present moment. I love you, Sparkfriends. Have an amazing weekend.....have a little F U N for yourself. I just couldn't wait to get home to tell you all that we won today 11-8. Now tomorrow we play for the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! Haley was sick, but made it through 6 innings. I could give you a play by play, but I'll just tell she RAWWWWKED IT! She even hit two doubles and a single. The runs scored were on field errors. I want to thank all my very favorite sparklers for sending me good wishes, luck, and prayers for them to do a good job....I'm so proud of them! Whether they win or lose tomorrow, they've come farther than any other team from that school has in a looooooong time, if ever. Last year they took 3rd with the best team they'd had in a few. We had so much fun watching and cheering for them. The other team brought four buses of kids and we didn't bring any.....so you know who the big mouth CHEERLEADER was.....GUILTY AS CHARGED! My daughter and I .......friends and mothers. We did actual cheers...Like crazy ones from our own teams way back when! It was so much fun and the kids loved it. They were all intimidated at first by the buses unloading out there and all their fans, but we showed em! LOL.

Haley catches a third out pop-up. Go, HALEY, GO HALEY!!

The TEAM WON A SPECTACULAR HARD-FOUGHT GAME!

As I ponder my friendships past and present, I searched for this poem and found it...My friend passed away this week at age 58 and we just buried him today. I hope you will enjoy this and reflect on the friendships you've formed through the years. LOVE & APPRECIATE THEM...TELL THEM HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU....I have been so sappy these past few days. PS I will be sooooooo ready to celebrate life dancing this weekend! It makes me feel full of joy and hope. I hope all my friends will learn to dance as though no one is watching, as it really doesn't matter if you are Fred or Ginger......As long as you can enjoy the dance. XXXXXOOOOO
