Trying AGAIN to post a blog from my recent trip to the west coast.
Most of the pictures I want won't load.
Biked across the Golden Gate Bridge.
The perspective at twelve miles an hour is totally different from 35-50 mph.




Moral of the story: On your next vacation, find a way to see the sights with people power.

    Glad you had a fabulous trip! Thanks for posting the pictures. I went with a friend in 2004 and loved it there! Especially Fisherman's Wharf!

As for pics not loading, I have that problem on here sometimes as well. You may be able to reduce the pixel size of each picture so it will load easier. If you don't know how to do that, send me a message and I will tell you how I do it on my Dell without photo software. I'm still on vacation for 1 more week and not going anywhere, so I'll actually have time to answer! emoticon

One good decision like this every day would mean losing about a pound a week!

Summary of June progress (with motivational quotes)

Quick blog because I have to get to Zumba this morning emoticon


My main goal this month was to lose 5 lb and get to Onederland.
I wanted the 5 lb to be all fat, not muscle.
I did not QUITE reach Onederland... emoticonthis month.
BUT I use a Tanita scale emoticonand my percent body fat dropped
emoticon10 points! emoticon
That calculates to over 20 lb of body fat. emoticonI'll take it!
I lost about an inch from my waist and a half inch from my hips.
I also was able to go a mile faster - from 16 minutes to 13:18 emoticon

So making plans for July and expecting continued progress!

June - prepared for success

It's been a struggle, but I am now on track.
I have been going to the gym, especially enjoying a circuit training class that challenges me and has lots of supportive people who are regulars.
(Silent scream here - lost my blog and had to start over) emoticon

Cut to the basics
Monday - weigh in and FITN test on elliptical, qi gong
Tues - circuit training
Wed - qi gong and mindfulness
Thurs - circuit training
Friday - yoga
Sat - Galloway training runs when possible
Sun - Core work and recover from Saturday run

I plan to
-get into the pool at least 4 times this month.
-lose at least 5 lbs of fat and never weigh 200 lbs again in my life
-aim to have a spark streak of morning exercise
-make meals at home at least 4 days a week, having planned my meals for the month
-drop a dress size (which means getting back into the dresses in my closet)

To start June off with a bang, I walked to the local store and bought some twine.
Then I came home and converted my elliptical into a desk! Now I have "no excuse" - I can Spark on the computer while exercising. emoticon
You'd be proud of how sweaty I got today.


Family reunion is right around the corner, in July. I'm determined.
Will keep you posted!

    I like your plan. I especially liked that you kicked it off by walking --that's WALKING--to get the stuff to convert your elliptical.

My June plan is to

1) stop SKIPPING my TKD classes and go to them at least 3 times a week. How I'm going to reach my goal is to try to go everyday so when I miss one due to overload at school, I'll still reach my goal.

2) stick with this RAW FOODIE experiement I'm doing for a month and see what happens

and 3) weigh-in everyday because it keeps me honest. (I'm not a scale-addict, I have the opposite problem..)
