Saturday, January 02, 2010

As we all start 2010 with good thoughts and fresh starts. Putting past in the past. I read this morning a beautiful saying in a short prayer..Forgive yourself and forgive your past. Start anew with a clean slate. for only we can forgive our own failings as God Does for us.
Have a Blessed day and a happy Beginning.

A journey of a 1000 miles begins with a single step--an old Chinese saying. It is exciting to get that new start--it lets us let go of any regrets or other baggage we might carry with us that weighs us down so that we can not put all of our effort into it.

I am a Penn State grad so very pleased to see the Joe Patterno quote. The Nittany Lions did well--Go Big Blue!

Sharing New Year Wishes ..

Wednesday, December 30, 2009

From Our House to Yours.. May Your New Year be Filled with Much Happiness, Great Health, Joy & Love .
May Your Joys be many & your troubles few!!

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!”
~ William Arthur Ward

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day.”
~Edith Lovejoy Pierce

“Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true”
~Alfred, Lord Tennyson

“New Year's Day is every man's birthday.”
~Charles Lamb

Irish toast
In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship, never in want.

New Year’s Wishes from Pope Benedict
Dear friends, we have reached the end of this year and stand at the threshold of the New Year. My wish is that the friendship of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, will accompany you each day of this new year. May friendship with Christ be our light and guide, helping us to to be people of peace, of his peace. Happy New Year to all!

An Open Letter to you all/sorry it is long

Wednesday, December 23, 2009

This time of year we get to reflect on what has happened over these months.
We sometimes become sad and other times rejoice in the wonderful finds we made over these past 12 months. Not only we found a wonderful program that has given us the opportunity for a better chance of good health. We found friends, supporters, encourager's and listeners with helping hands.
This is so very true for me.
There are people who come and go in our lives and leave an impression on our hearts. There is not one person I can really say that has not done that to my heart.
Kind words, helping hands even though they are far away and we can not really touch. But in actuality. touching hearts have such an impact.
From My Heart to all of yours who read this, here is my wish..
MAy your Joys be Many and Your troubles be few. May you find the sunshine on even the cloudiest day and may God's Strong arms always hold you close to His loving heart.
May His watchful eyes always be upon you.
Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year!!!
You all are an Inspiration for me on this still struggling journey. I know you are there and it makes each day easier!!
Heart Hugs
Always.
Donna

What Do We Love About Christmas?
What do we love about Christmas;
Does our delight reside in things?
Or are the feelings in our hearts
The real gift that Christmas brings.
It's seeing those we love,
And sending Christmas cards, too,
Appreciating people who bring us joy
Special people just like you.
By Joanna Fuchs

Christmas Magic
Are we too grownup to feel a thrill
As we light the Christmas tree?
Are we immune to cookies,
Christmas cards and Christmas glee?
Are we too adult to "Ooh" and "Aah"
At the Christmas candle's glow?
Are we blasé about our gifts;
Do we shun the mistletoe?
Are we too mature for carols,
For merry or for jolly?
Do the decorations leave us cold,
The ornaments and holly?
Fat chance! We'll never grow too old
To love the Christmas magic.
A year without a Christmas
Would be boring, even tragic.
So bring it on! The candy canes,
The feasting and good cheer;
O Christmas, lovely Christmas,
You're the highlight of the year!

Sharing a Christmas Poem

Tuesday, December 22, 2009

Our wish for you all.. May Your Christmas and New Year be filled with Love Laughter, Happiness, Good Health and Above all Peace!!

It's Christmas Time Again
(by Bob Lazzar-Atwood)

Put your problems on probation
Run your troubles off the track,
Throw your worries out the window
Get the monkeys off your back.
Silence all your inner critics
With your conscience make amends,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!

Call a truce with those who bother you
Let all the fighting cease,
Give your differences a breather
And declare a time of peace,
Don't let angry feelings taint
The precious time you have to spend,
And allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!

Like some cool refreshing water
Or a gentle summer breeze,
Like a fresh bouquet of flowers
Or the smell of autumn leaves,
It's a banquet for the spirit
Filled with family, food and friends,
So allow yourself some happiness
It's Christmas time again!

Just wanted to share

Since We Communicate by internet. this seemed like a great thing to share.
Enjoy. Can not remember where or when I received it. Feel free to pass it on..

TO: God.Com

Dear Lord,

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.Com
Amen
