Unusual for me..

Thursday, October 22, 2009

First I want to thank all of you for the Goodies, Kind words , support inspiration and gifts of friendship. you have lifted my spirits more than you know. I have tried so often to do the right thing and keep up with inspirational blogs.
I am happy that I was able to give what I could to all of you with them.
I am drifting away and unable to stop. Several personal events and trials have got my emotions in a whirl wind. DH is not ill nor I . Thank God. Just the usual aches & pains & stomach issues.
I see now I have hit that old brick wall of emotional self sabotage. Not even emotional eating. That is the good point. The one where you get emotionally stressed and feel what good am I doing and how can I get back on track. I guess it is overload. trying to do too many things at once in to short a time and Not giving it my all in some things. Lots of things.
I lost sight of my goals and dreams and ...My get up and Go Got up and went.
I feel like a hypocrite and that is why I have not written in awhile.
I also feel like I have let not only myself down but each one of you.
So here I am I guess you would say this is my pity party.. which I do not like very much.
I apologize to all of you if I have let you all down and seemed ungrateful for all you have done for me in the past week or so.
what am I saying ..Please keep me in good thoughts and prayers and I realize by writing this what I need to do.. Commitment +Passion = Success and Not allow my fears to stop my progress!!!
One day at a time.. I will practice my own words.
Thank you for letting me realize what steps I need. Unseen, but just knowing you all are there...you all help me..
Many thanks and Blessings to you all.

In the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed.

Donna, I am so sorry for the way you are feeling right now, please know, that everyone has down days and good days. This definitely does not make you a hypocrite!

First of all you must never think that you have let any of down, rather you have been a strong encourager and inspiration to many people. Not allow us to help you, encourage you and pray for you, because you are loved.

You don't let anyone down by living and feeling. Of course we all would like you to feel good so maybe post more of your feelings and let us boost you up. To feel is human - up and down. Remember the downs can be changed up. Try playing the "I'm glad game" and see what you can come up --even the smallest of things.

Donna, you haven't let any of us down.....we all have our good times and our not so good
times. We all at one time or another, have had to step back and figure out what we need to
do in order to become more consistent. This is your time....be assured that we are here to
help you any way we can ! God Bless You !!!! emoticon

Donna, you haven't let any of us down. No one can be 'up' all the time. You are allowed to take a break if you feel you need one. Just don't leave us entirely!

Wonderful Poem to Share

Friday, October 16, 2009

By Author Unknown

I used to have a comfort zone where I knew I wouldn't fail.
The same four walls and busywork were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things I'd never done before,
But stayed inside my comfort zone and paced the same old floor.

I said it didn't matter that I wasn't doing much.
I said I didn't care for things like commission checks and such.
I claimed to be so busy with the things inside the zone,
But deep inside I longed for something special of my own.

I couldn't let my life go by just watching others win.
I held my breath; I stepped outside and let the change begin.
I took a step and with new strength I'd never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone goodbye and closed and locked the door.

If you're in a comfort zone, afraid to venture out,
Remember that all winners were at one time filled with doubt.
A step or two and words of praise can make your dreams come true.
Reach for your future with a smile; success is there for you!

Winning Combination

Thursday, October 15, 2009

We are all striving to find a balance in our daily lives. We juggle this and that, who or what comes first second or third. Sometimes we forget where we fit in the plan. Twenty four hours and when do we sleep, when do we have me time when do we....
You know the routine. Then there is our SP time. The time we really need to take care of us.. To do the things we have committed ourselves to to be who we want to be.. Healthy and Happy and feeling good about our selves.
I know this week has been an obstacle course for me.. Ups and downs and playing catch up. I lost momentum and balance. Then I stopped everything else and read my SP mail, saw wonderful comments, goodies and words that comforted me and supported me. I like to call it Heart Hugs as you know.
I thank you all so much. then I said wait...
I said what can I do...
Do what I think I do best is to write.
So here it is..
When you take Passion + Commitment, combine the two you get Success
The two things that We SParklers have so much of since we all joined.

I went hunting for a few quotes that would fulfill the combination really well.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
Have a super and wonderful weekend and remember... You Are The Stars and Your Sparkle lights the way for others!!!

Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.” ~Tom Robbins quotes

There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.”~ Unknown

Commitment unlocks the doors of imagination, allows vision, and gives us the "right stuff" to turn our dreams into reality.” ~James Womack

An ounce of performance is worth pounds of promises.”~Mae West

It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.~Zig Ziglar

Commitment in the face of conflict produces character.~unknown

“Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.”
~Peter F. Drucker

“Above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.”~unknown

Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.”

The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”

Just Me...

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

It is just me..No long winded blog.. just me glad to be fully back on line. Being off line made me put a lot of things in order in my mind.
I felt a sense of loss not being in communication with SP and getting my support, inspiration and motivation. DH was ill and Thank God better and back to his old self. He has lost 36.5 pounds. Me I am still the same no loss no gain and I am grateful. even off line I wrote all my plan down and then transposed them to SP.
On top of it all this is like Deja Vu being back in FL. and this is the week of my BC surgery 6 years ago. So many memories flooding back that I didn't expect. Thrown by it a little. I pat myself on the back for not Emotional Eating.
So this is where I am at. So please understand that I have not gotten around to Thank all who left me wishes and comments and read my blog and along with the goodies Gave me Giant Heart Hugs!!
I am humbled with gratitude and SP who along with my God has given me a renewed dedication to be a better me.
OOps and of course my DDH who found SP for us.
Wishing you all a Blessed and great week. Please always remember You Are The Stars.

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint on the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things go wrong that you mustn't quit.

Congrats on being a 6 yr survivor!! I have also had that happen to me... I guess it is our way of finally dealing with it... when you are going through treatment you don't really have time to. You are just busy trying to get through your surgeries, chemo, rads, or whatever other treatments you had to endure. I am glad your hubby is feeling better and you are both on your way to a healthier YOU!
