Today i decided to be honest with myself and reset my weight goal. I have reach my goal weight of 117 a few time now since joining SP almost 2 years ago. This time i was able to maintain my goal weight for 4 months before i started slipping back into my old habits .
I haven't been paying attention to everything i have been eating and not always logging my food intake.

I also think that for me my goal weight of 117 is not realistic . I have decided to change it to 119 which is maybe a copout but is still within my BMI weigh goal. Even though i have had a few set back during my time at SP i still think of myself as being successful.

I started here on January 5, 2009 weighing 146 and have managed to keep at least 21 of those pounds off for good. So for those of you are also facing setbacks don't look at them as failures look at them as a learning experience.

    It sounds as if you're doing well, keeping those 21 lbs off. I don't know how tall you are, but 115 to 120 seems like a reasonable range to aim for.

    I am sure a Dr would also agree that 2 pounds would not affect your health. It has to be right and healthy for you - not for a chart. Great job on your progress.

    Congratulations on losing the weight that you did - keeping 21 lbs off is really an accomplishment. At least you realize that you cannot maintain the low goal. Perhaps you should consider a range that will be good for you and as long as you are within that range you have accomplished your goals.

    Good for you for dealing with whatever your weight reality is. Of course, you can always go back and adjust it to 117 again if it seems reasonable.

I went on vacation to visit my family a week ago. I keep busy taking care of my mother who has a dementia and couldn't exercise like i usually did. I did manage a 60 minute walk 6 of the lO days i was there. I tried to eat right but i didn't have access to the internet where i could track my food intake.

When i got home I was amazed to see that i managed to lose the last 2 pounds i needed to reach my weight goal. The compliments i got from friends and family that i hadn't seen in over a year was great.

Beautiful day

Today is another beautiful day. I am enjoying going out for longs walks again. Its is no longer a struggle to go out there and walk. Its nice not to have to rely on my treadmill for my workouts. Hope everyone else is enjoying nice weather.

Rough week

Last week didn't go as well i wanted. My treadmill is still not fixed had to order parts for it. So i tried to do other exercises but didn't get the workouts i usually have using the treadmill. I also didn't pay as much attention to what i was eating as i should have.

So instead of losing weight i ended up gaining 2 pounds. Needless to say i am disappointed but i know i have learned the tools i need here on SP to get myself back on track. Today is the start of a new week and i know i can do it.

28 days challenge

Today is my 28th day of the challenge. I have completed most of the steps required. I still have to come up with my 50 to l00 things i want to accomplish.

The last few days have been hard to meet my goals, but i did the best i could. We were out of electricity for 30 hours, so cooking and eating right was more challenging. I did have a microwave to cook with along with an out door grill. Since my in-laws and daughter and son were also out of electricity they all came to my house to eat. We have a generator that allows me to use the microwave and we have an grill outside. I had enough leftover for the first day, which was good as the wind was still howling and it was cold outside. Saturday it was nice enough that i was able to grill bratwursts and hotdogs, not the healthest foods out there but it was quick. Didn't want to stay in the cold for too long .

Exercising was harder since i couldn't use the trendmill or use my DVD's. The only exercise i did was while cleaning my driveway and some strength training. I finally got a gook workout today when i went skiing. Guess i need to find some form of exercise i like doing that dosen't require electricty for the next time we lose it.
