This morning I went to weight watchers and we talked about hitting a plateau and what we can do about it. The power of staying or overcoming a plateau is all in our hands. I love my leader and love the people in my group

I went to Bible study and we had almost a full group. We discussed the Rotem resolutions that is before the Kenesset in Israel. It would be a travesty if it were passed. There is ample support and lobbying for its defeat. We only hope and pray.

The group went out to eat at Ferrantes and I am finding my way around the menu. Today I had a marinated chicken on a walnut cranberry salad. It had crasins, and tomato's and cucumbers and lots of lettuce about 6 pieces of thin strips of chicken which were marinated in Raspberry vinaigrette. It also had some goat cheese on it. Next time I would eliminate the goat cheese.

We were supposed to go to Bayshore shopping center for their outdoor concert which was cancelled because of severe weather in Wisconsin. We had flash flooding on our side of town. Nicolet High school has about 3 ft of water in their hallways and their benches in their footballs lockers were covered in water. Their shoulder pads were floating in the locker room.

They closed the main highway I-43 and also I-45 which both are the main highways into milwaukee. It is still raining and I am sure it will be the talk of the newsroom tomorrow.

They cancelled the showing of the results of "So you think you can Dance" to cover the tornado watch which was issued for Milwaukee and surrounding communities. So I don't know who was eliminated.

So tonite I caught up on BostonMed. It is a wonderful series and I am hooked. Deleted Rookies. Don't like series and deleted The Good Guys. That was stupid too.

WW meeting sounds like it is way worth your time since you enjoy the leader so much and the group in general.

Also the lunch sounded so good.

I did not leave the house today.

It was wonderful. Recharging all day.

My dh bought the groceries and I made an old family recipe which was "Porcupines" Its hamburger balls with brown rice put into a big pot with 1 can of tomato soup, 1 can of tomato sauce and two balls put into green peppers. I also added a bottle of shrimp sauce I had left over from the previous meal, I also had some garlic and tomato paste that was in the refrigerator and want to use up. It gave the filled peppers some kick.

I also peeled and cut up 4 potatoes and put them into the pot with the filled peppers. It was wonderful and absolutely a comfort dish.

My dh and I watched Big Brother 12, then I watched "So you think you can dance and then I watched HGTV Work of Art The Next Great Artist.

Now I will finish Sparkpeople points and then continue reading "The English Assassin" by Daniel Silva

My Mom used to make Porcupine Balls, but with white rice and it would stick out like quills. My brother asked if I had her recipe and I can't find it.

They sound really good, I will have to try them. Do you have a actual recipe with amounts?

Sounds great the the green peppers too. emoticon emoticon

This morning I got up early so I could be at the golf course by 7:30 a.m. for a tee time of 8:00 a.m. I was a starter today along with my friend AR. I thought I might even golf, but the longer I sat and gave out start times, the more my back bothered me and I thought "what if my back gives out on the 5th hole, then what" So I decided not to golf and I came home.

I did swim a bit in the pool and did some exercising. We finally came up in time for me to make dinner. It was cold shrimp for my dh with cocktail sauce and a salmon pattie on an Arnolds bun for me.

I played Mahj jong tonite as a sub for a 5 handed game and lost $1.00. but it was a nice game. The home we went to is just beautiful. Her dh was watching a 72 inch screen TV. Wow is that big. But I guess its all what you are used to.

Having a lot of back problems myself, I think that you did the right thing by deciding not to golf. That is a sport that requires a lot of twisting on the back and you may have just saved yourself a whole lot of hurtin'.

This morning I spoke to the support team for Pandidigal e-reader. They told me that I would have to contact my internet provider and have my wireless changed to become compatible with my new e-reader. When I called my internet provider they said I would have to pay $99.00 plus $15.00 per month for a new "whatever". I was livid. I gave them a piece of my mind and short of cancelling our service I hung up on them.

I was so angry I went to exercise before taking the 3-reader back to the store where I bought it.

Anyway, I will do some more research into e-readers and get opinions on many of them.

Tonite I made shrimp salad which was absolutely delicious.

This evening I went to services to commerate the 9th of AV in the Hebrew calendar. It is a memorial service in which the "lamentation"s are chanted telling of the destruction's and diaporia of the Jewish people. It is the telling of a very dark time of the Jewish People throughout their 3000 plus years.

I came home and watched the batchlorette. Frank is really a J......A...
I never liked him so I was glad to see him go.

Now I am watching "True Beauty"

Hope you find an e reader that doesn't cost extra. I have to wonder what it is about them that would affect your internet connection..
Enjoy your Tuesday!

I had no idea you had to pay a month charge for e=Readers. I guess I'll stick with my iPhone App.
Have a Super Day...

Me too! I watched Bachlorette and now True Beauty. Frank was unforgivable. I hate him for what he did to her. Can't wait to see next weeks show.

Sunday, July 18, 2010

Today is hot and humid, but I had two errands to do which we did and then stopped at the grocery store for dinner ingredients.

I have been mulling over why my e-reader isn't working properly. I googled it on my computer and found that this past June they recalled my model because of a software problem. I am hoping this is not the problem and when I call tech support tomorrow and they say it is then I am returning it to the store.

We had shrimp in cocktail sauce for dinner and tomorrow I am making a shrimp salad. It should be very good.

Watched TV and read most of the day and evening.
