this morning I went to WW and gained .4 of a pound. I know I am eating healthy, tracking, drinking my water, exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. The few pounds I have yet to lose will eventually come off. I have to keep that in mind.
After WW I went to bible class and we discussed the problems of the world and solved them within one hour. Why won't the politicians listen to us. We could make their jobs so much easier.
I went to play bridge and lost my $1.00. Terrible game. I just couldn't concentrate.
Tomorrow I play at Dunwood school and anticipate a great game.
Food was good, water drunk, will finish up my 10K steps and call it a night.

This morning I needed to be up early so I could be at the Brown Deer Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. to meet the other participant on the Tour of Jewish Milwaukee. John Gurda the author of "One People, Many Paths; The History of Jewish Milwaukee" lead the tour. He explained the history of Jewish life in Milwaukee at the turn of the 20th century. He showed us the homes and neighborhoods of many famous Jewish families like Golda Meir, former Prime Minister of Israel, and Lizzie Kander, author of the famous "Settlement Cookbook". We stopped at the first Jewish cemetery which is no longer being used but still has the remains of many of the prominent Jewish leaders of early Milwaukee. We were invited to see Congregation Beth Jehudah, which is a Hasidic orthodox synagogue where men and women are seated separately for all services. We also saw the original sites of Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, which was one of the first Reform synagogues in the city of Milwaukee. It was established in 1850. Wisconsin became a state in 1848. We also stopped at Jake's deli which most of us on the bus grew up knowing was the premier restaurant for corn beef and pastrami and tongue sandwiches, as well as other ethnic menu items. This tour was a wonderful experience and very well worth the $25.00 fee.
I had pre purchased a signed copy of John Gurda's book for myself and decided to buy one for my sister for her birthday on the 17th of November. I am sure she will enjoy the memories of the old neighborhood with all the pictures and maps.
Tomorrow I am weighing in at WW and will see if my cutting back on carbs really made a difference. I haven't had popcorn for a week. I have been eliminating my cereal in the morning as well. I allow a sandwich and a side at dinner for carbs.
I am also going to bible study and we will talk about the Afghan war, and relate it to the bible. Then off to bridge and a nice afternoon.
Food was great, water drunk and strength exercises accomplished.
