This morning I went to play bridge at Dunwood School. It was a good game and I really enjoyed playing with this group.

I stopped at Office Max and bought a 2010 hugh wall calendar since I have a lot of dates into 2010 I should write on the calendar. I can't believe that all we have is 2 months left in the year.

Today is going to be a relaxing evening also.

My dh has been really busy with his little ladies taking them to the beauty shop and to the doctors office. It is wonderful that he is getting a feeling of being needed by others and doing something great for them. The people he takes to appointments are in their 90's and can't drive any longer. Their children are working and this relieves them the responsibility of taking off from work to drive them or having their parents rely on cabs which can be very expensive. My dh waits for them and even walks them into the doctors offices. He is a spring chicken in caparison to them. In fact one little lady told me "if you don't take care of him I will take him away from you." I asked my dh if I needed to worry, cause I know they don't want him for sex, they want him because he drives. lol lol My husband laughed and told me not to worry.

So now I am going to finish my day with good food, already drank my water and will do strength exercises while I watch Dr. Oz.

this morning I went to WW and gained .4 of a pound. I know I am eating healthy, tracking, drinking my water, exercising and living a healthy lifestyle. The few pounds I have yet to lose will eventually come off. I have to keep that in mind.

After WW I went to bible class and we discussed the problems of the world and solved them within one hour. Why won't the politicians listen to us. We could make their jobs so much easier.

I went to play bridge and lost my $1.00. Terrible game. I just couldn't concentrate.

Tomorrow I play at Dunwood school and anticipate a great game.

Food was good, water drunk, will finish up my 10K steps and call it a night.

Don't worry about the .4 of a pound. It could be water weight. I went to my WW meeting and lost .2 of a pound from last Month. I am a lifetime member and I only weigh in once a month. I have been watching my carbs more lately. I think it helps.

This morning I needed to be up early so I could be at the Brown Deer Park and Ride at 8:30 a.m. to meet the other participant on the Tour of Jewish Milwaukee. John Gurda the author of "One People, Many Paths; The History of Jewish Milwaukee" lead the tour. He explained the history of Jewish life in Milwaukee at the turn of the 20th century. He showed us the homes and neighborhoods of many famous Jewish families like Golda Meir, former Prime Minister of Israel, and Lizzie Kander, author of the famous "Settlement Cookbook". We stopped at the first Jewish cemetery which is no longer being used but still has the remains of many of the prominent Jewish leaders of early Milwaukee. We were invited to see Congregation Beth Jehudah, which is a Hasidic orthodox synagogue where men and women are seated separately for all services. We also saw the original sites of Congregation Emanu-El B'ne Jeshurun, which was one of the first Reform synagogues in the city of Milwaukee. It was established in 1850. Wisconsin became a state in 1848. We also stopped at Jake's deli which most of us on the bus grew up knowing was the premier restaurant for corn beef and pastrami and tongue sandwiches, as well as other ethnic menu items. This tour was a wonderful experience and very well worth the $25.00 fee.

I had pre purchased a signed copy of John Gurda's book for myself and decided to buy one for my sister for her birthday on the 17th of November. I am sure she will enjoy the memories of the old neighborhood with all the pictures and maps.

Tomorrow I am weighing in at WW and will see if my cutting back on carbs really made a difference. I haven't had popcorn for a week. I have been eliminating my cereal in the morning as well. I allow a sandwich and a side at dinner for carbs.

I am also going to bible study and we will talk about the Afghan war, and relate it to the bible. Then off to bridge and a nice afternoon.

Food was great, water drunk and strength exercises accomplished.

Don't be too judgemental over 1 week time with the carbs.

A conclusion is never made after just 1 week in any plan.

I would give it 4 weeks at a minimum to make anytype of judgement and 8 weeks to be certain.

Remember that you are now being challenged to use your mind, but jumping to one thing and another will never be a good way to live. Certainly you can't advise a person to how your adjustment to your diet effected your weight loss with a small amount of time.

So stay consistent and analyze your results and the food intake and then conclude after 4 to 8 weeks. At that point, you can decide, after getting much expert help, what you should do at that point!

Love You,

this morning I got up and cleaned my house for my bi monthly scrabble game with my three girlfriends. I served veggies with low calorie d ip, japaneze rice crackers, wasabi peas mixed with almonds and water with 0 calorie flavoring. The game went beautifully. We had a great deal of fun

We are going out for a bite to eat, since I have an early evening meeting and didn't have time to cook tonite.

I will be at a meeting tonite and so I will tape "The Biggest Loser" and "V". Will watch it when I get home

Just finished "The Rabbi is a Lady" very good book.

Going to eat now.

This morning I drove 191 miles back and forth to Chicago to attend a luncheon at a Sisterhood Torah Fund Luncheon. I ate a great breakfast so I wouldn't be hungry when I got there. I was concerned about the luncheon. As it turned out one of the ladies made a Salmon loaf and I had a 3 x 3 inch square with a greek dill dressing on top. I also had a piece of sugar free noodle kugel and a salad. I passed on the desserts. So I pretty much stayed within my points for lunch.

I gave my presentation and they were good listeners and appreciated what I had to say. Three of the ladies gave a RAP for Special Project Scholarships which was just adorable. All these ladies were in their 80's and are certainly role models for us.

I picked up my friend BL and since she lives in Chicago she was my backseat driver who sat in the front seat. It was a pleasant day, but I was exhausted by the time I got home. I was so happy we had leftovers for dinner

Tomorrow I have my scrabble group at my house at 1:00 P.M. so I am putting out veggies, dip and laughing cow cheese with Ritz crackers. I will also put out Japanese rice crackers and whatever I find in the house. .

My food was great,t drank my water and did my strength exercises.
