This morning I went to play duplicate bridge at Dunwood school with my partner SW. Last week we came in last out of 14 couples. So I am sure we did better this week. But we will see. Its a good game and very nice people.

This afternoon we are going to see Matt Damon in "The Informer" I hear it is very good and the previews were very good. It got 3 stars from the Milwaukee Critics.

We will go to our favorite place for dinner and order our medium pizza. My dh orders it with pepperoni and I just order veggies on my side. Their pizza crust is so thin it is almost like a cracker. It is just fantastic.

So food is great, exercise is great (steps today) and I already drank my water. So all is good here.

ADDENDUM: We saw the movie and it was great. Couldn't believe what a pathological liar this man was. You no sooner believed what he said and it turned out to be a figment of his imagination. So we went for pizza at Zaffalos and made a reservation for 6:45 p.m. We got there right after the movie (its in the same building) and after waiting a long time, they finally seated us. Then we waited for a waitress and no one came. The hostess came up to us and ask us if our order had been taken and we said no and she said "Have you been waiting a long time?" We said "yes" Well, she said I'll take your order and we ordered our medium pizza. She promptly said we will upgrade you to a large one and not charge you for that and don't eat alot because since you aren't drinking anything but water, we will give you a free dessert. All I could think about is OMG all those points. Well let me tell you. I WAS IN CONTROL. I ate only the portion I would have eaten had it been a medium. It was still a veggie pizza and I refused the dessert but my dh had a pound cake with homemade carmel topping with Hagen Dias ice cream. I had a taste, the tip of the spoon. Boy was it sweet.

I am so proud of being in control and not going off the deep end just because it was free. Today I can say "I think I've got it".

Today I went to WW and lost 1 pound. So eating more does work.

I went to bible study and PR lead the discussion which was very interesting. The topic generated much interaction.

I played bridge this afternoon and won 75 cents. It was a good game. Tomorrow I play at Dunwood with SW. I look forward to the game

Tonite I have a conference call and as the President is speaking, I am typing my blog.

I began my strength training exercises and it took me 30 minutes to get through them. I might be able to get another 30 minutes in later tonite. I'll see how the evening goes.

today I went to WW and lost 1 pound. So eating more does work.

I then went to bible study and PR lead the discussion which was very interesting and generated a lot of discussion.

I then went to play bridge and had a great game. I came in second and went home with 75 cents. Tomorrow I play at Dunwood school with SW.

Yesterday I stopped at Marshalls and bought a art piece and finally my dh and I put it up in the kitchen. He thought I paid over a $100.00 and was pleasantly surprised when it was less expensive. It looks wonderful in my kitchen. It was just what I was looking for and found it at Marshalls. They have a wonderful Home Goods department.

This evening I am on a conference call for Women League for Conservative Judaism. So I am typing my blog as I listen to the President speak.

I started my strength training exercises with my new dumbbells. I did 30 minutes of upper body and core exercises. I may get another 30 minutes in later on tonite. I'll see how the rest of the evening goes.

Today I met my friend for lunch before she and her dh go to Florida for the winter. Her dh isn't doing well and is currently battling Spider Cell Leukemia. It is a rare form of cancer and his last remission ended 2 years ago. Each time a cancer patient comes out of remission it is harder to get them back into remission. At the present time he is getting 2 pints of blood every two weeks. My friend knows the outcome is not a happy one and slowly;y her dh is coming to the realization that too. It is sad when you see your peer group getting ill.

After lunch I took a ride to Grafton where the sport shop my son recommended is located. I spoke to the fitness maven and he suggested that I buy 2 ten pound weights for strength exercises to do at home.

I then stopped at Marshalls just to see if they had anything in home goods for my kitchen wall. They did and I bought a beautiful painting. I just love it and tomorrow or Friday I'll hang it.

This evening we had salmon, potato and asparagus with a side salad for dinner. Tomorrow I weigh in at WW and wanted to keep the menu light as per my friend AB's recommendation. So we will see what that brings

This evening I was having problems with my computer and finally at 10:00 p.m. Completely frustrated, I called AT&T. I spoke to a very nice young man who eventually told me how to clean out my footprints which will speed up my computer. I can't believe how fast my computer goes now. Woo Hoo

So now I am a happy camper. Great food today, drank my water, did my 10K steps. What could be better.

Oh that is so hard for them. My Grandma said it was so hard when most of her friends and her brothers & sisters all died before she did. She felt so alone.

I wish you well at your weigh in

Hugs Martha n tx

I was very relaxed this morning and just answered some e-mails, did some bookwork and watched "The View" with my dh. Then about 11:00 a.m. I showered and got dressed for my afternoon group of "scrabble" Its was a BR home. She lives in an upscale subdivision and has a beautiful home. She served fruit, nuts and I drank all my water while we played. I won one game. On one turn I got 54 points. A record to be sure.

This evening I warmed up the Black Bean Chicken which was very good.

I have eaten very well today, drank my water and completed my 10K steps.

Tomorrow I am going to lunch with my friend WW before she and her dh leave for Florida for the winter. I am also going to try to get to a sporting goods store and buy some dumbbells for strength exercises that I can do at home. We are planning to have Salmon for dinner since I weigh in on Thursday.

To me, that sounds like a very productive day! What word did you get 54 points on, I am curious. Hope you got your dumbells, I use mine all the time. I wanted salmon today too, but when I looked at the price, I decided not right now. Have a good week, and there are a lot of exercises on Spark to do with dumbells, which I am sure you are probably aware of.
