Well everything went great last night.
We arrived at the dinner party only to find that my friend had an assortment of appetizers which included gaspacho soup, diet drinks (as well as wines) and roasted vegetables which were packed in olive oil. Those were the two things I ate. I did take the suggestion of one of my sparkfriends who told me eat 12 almonds before I left the house to curb my appetite. That worked by the way. I left the rest of the food alone. We had wonderful conversation prior to dinner and at 7:00 p.m. she called us into the dining room for dinner. The table was gleaming with all her good china, crystal and silverware. Her menu was buffet and consisted of green salad with peas and mint which gave it a wonderful flavor. standing prime rib which was made to perfection with all the fat cut off. Petite potatoes which were roasted cut in half and scored which were delicious. I had three of them, and as a side veggie, asparagus. All within WW points and I didn't go back for seconds. For dessert she had ice creams with toppings, fruit and she made shaum tortes as well as chocolates. I had a couple of shaum tortes with fruit. So it was a wonderful evening with lots of conversation and laughing.
At 9:30 p.m. we went to CEBJ for "Slichot" services. The study session was still in progress so we went into the sanctuary and although it was dark the eternal light was on and it was a peaceful beautiful place to sit and mediate and decompress. What a beautiful sanctuary is is. Although it is modern in nature and lots of glass and light woods it was very inviting and cozy. They did a beautiful job and the architect should be proud of his work.
Services were lovely and the guest Rabbi was enjoyable. Got home about midnight and finally went to bed at 3:00 a.m.
This afternoon we have a memorial service for my dh cousin's sister at the some of her son. We will go and pay our condolences to H and her family.
This evening for dinner I am making a new recipe, Beef and broccoli stirfry. One of my friends on SP turned me onto this new website called eatbetteramerica.com. It has all these luscious recipes on it and as you can tell I love trying new recipes. Unfortunately for my dh he doesn't get repeats often enough for him. So he is always saying "remember when you made such and such, why don't we have that again."
So now I am going to get dress so we won't be late for the memorial service. Just got back from the memorial service which was lovely. A real tribute to a very nice lady. They served lunch, but we didn't stay, because I had already eaten lunch. Said our goodbyes and now we are home for the evening.

Today was a beautiful day in Wisconsin. The sun was shining the weather was warm. I went golfing this morning with my girlfriends and since all 5 of us showed up, R and I went ahead of the 3 others. We are long hitters and golfed the course in 90 minutes. We didn't lunch with the others, R went to Aldi's and I went to TJ Maxx in Germantown. I bought individual guest soaps for D, when we go there for dinner tomorrow night. I was able to pick up pure vanilla extract, sea salt (for grinding), ginger spice and a beautiful decorator jar to be used to hold my liquid dish soap which will sit on my granite counter. I broke the other one last week.
I saw some beautiful outfits for winter, but because I was still to warm for golf and tired beside, I chose not to try anything on. I need to try on my winter wardrobe before I buy to see what I can get away with wearing and what is way too big on me.
I made a Triple chocolate cake in my ramekin that I bought a couple days ago. Their was a recipe on "Hungry Girl" for individual chocolate cakes for only 2 points and I bought the ingredients and it lived up to its expectation. I will be making it a lot.
Tonite we finished off the Keema and still have plenty of points for snacking tonite.
Food great, water drunk and exercise done.
