Today I golfed in my league at Lincoln Park and I had a fantastic game. I had a birdie, a par and alas a bogie. I walked the 9 holes with a new golfer to this league and she was a joy to golf with.

Came home and made my calls that I had in my tickler file. The first was to Trans Am Airlines about my pants which were torn on their airplane. Three weeks have passed and they have not heard from their flight attendant. This customer service rep was a real hard a**. She insisted that I have a receipt for the purchase of my slacks. I told her I bought them in NYC on sale for $69.00 paid cash for them and knew I wouldn't be returning them so I threw the receipt away. She asked me to call the store and have them fax me a receipt. It was a cash purchase duh!!!!! Besides I don't remember the store. I bought several things along that street. If I have to I will take them to small claims court. This is ridiculous, because I know they can send me a check. What happened to "the customer is always right" or "keep the customer coming back" . I guess in this day and age, that doesn't count. Bottom line is what counts hang the customer. We have so few flights now and so few airlines what do we care if she goes to another, she'll have to come back to us eventually because we are the only ones in the air going in that direction at the cheap fare.

I then called Clinkink who was suppose to credit my Discover Card with an amount they charged me after I cancelled the order. They assured me that this would be done 3 weeks ago. We have paid the Discover bill (we pay entire amount at the end of the month) and am waiting for the credit. After many calls I finally got the refund department and the guy told me he just got back from vacation and he was the only one that could credit me on the Discover card. Why couldn't someone in the office tell me that three weeks ago when the guy went on vacation. Why tell me we will take care of it within the week. duh!!!! What happened to customer service. Now this guy said it will be done within the week. We'll see...................I have his name and number.

Then my computer went out and I couldn't get any connection early this morning or when I came home from golf. So I called AT&T. Boiling mad because of the first two calls and in disgust logged off and shut the computer down. Finally got hold of someone and low and behold I logged back on and my wireless connected. Time to stop and take a breather. The sweet girl understood my frustration and said she would call me back in an hour and a half to check and find out if I was still connected. Has she called "NO" will she, "probably NO" What happened to customer service. Duh!!!!!

Though all of this aggrevation I didn't turn to food. In fact I made myself eat a sandwich but couldn't eat anymore than the sandwich. Later on I had a snack of Ginger snacks that I bought at Trader Joes.

Most of the afternoon I continued reading my "Kisscut" book and finally tonight I have turned off the TV because I'm tired of Michael Jackson tributes and I will read til bedtime.

Tomorrow is another day of golf with another league. I hope that I golf well there too. With all the frustrations I should hit that ball like Tiger does.

Food was good, stayed within my points. Finished off the deep dish pizza and made a beautiful salad. Had a Jello pudding for dessert and I am through for the night.

The past few days and evenings my blood counts have been nice and low. I expect that my A1C report will show that its way under 6.0. Awaiting the doctors report. It was a week ago today. Should hear from him by the end of the week or I will call him. I bet when I call he'll be on vaction too. lol What happened to "make the patient happy and give her the good news:" duh.

I think we all have days like that from time to time & I agree about customer service. Good service seems to be a thing of the past. Way to go for not turning to food in your frustration and congrats on the great golf game the next day.

When you posted this I was in bed sleeping so I'm late. I wish I had seen this last night...for me! We must have all had the same kind of day.
I am so proud of you that you didn't turn to food from frustration! And I am in total agreement with you about customer service (and just plain rudeness in the world) AND the Michael Jackson tributes.
And finally, I can't wait for your A1C results...I know first hand how important that one is!
I hope you have an awesome day and can't wait to hear from you again!

emoticonHoney I know you had a horrible day but I had to laugh! You are so right about "customer service" that is actually a joke anymore!
You sound like you have walked a day in my shoes! Bless your heart!
I do hope you have a good day on the golf course tomorrow and I do hope and pray everything starts going your way!
I do hope the rest of your week is filled with sunshine in your heart and hugs all around you! (And good customer service!)

Today I decided to go to the gym and do strength exercises. Its been awhile since I was there and since I wasn't doing anything until a meeting at 1:00 p.m. I thought, " lets do it". It was wonderful. Increased some of my weights on some of the machines. I am getting stronger. I noticed that I could do 2 reps on the chest machine without struggling at the end. I increased the weights on my lateral pull on the cross machine and on the sitting machine.

Had a meeting for our Sisterhood fundraiser at 1:00 p.m. Good turnout and got a lot accomplished and responsibilities were given out. Everything seems like its in good hands with very capable volunteers.

Read all afternoon and into the evening. Reading another Karin Slaughter book. "Kisscut". Very good book

Although I didn't eat a big lunch, a fiber bar, I did eat a good dinner and had a protein drink when I returned from the gym. Got all my points in, drank all my water and today I exercised.

Tomorrow I am golfing, tee time 8:40 a.m. More exercise for the week

Well, its the end of a long weekend. It was a wonderful quiet time with my dh and friends. Did three weeks worth of laundry, made the deep dish pizza I was planning to make and happy to say that my dh didn't bite his tongue.

So today we've watched the golf tournament that Tiger hosted and won. What a fantastic golfer he is and how I would love to tee off and get the distance he gets.

I am also reading Karin Slaughter book "Blindsighted" and its getting very exciting so I am going to get back to it, shortly.

Food has been good, drank all my water. Tomorrow I will go to the gym to do exercise machines. Haven't done that for awhile.

Today is Independence Day in our great US of A. How lucky are we that our grandparents (in my case) had the foresight to immigrate to Wisconsin when they did. I thank my grandmother and grandfather for leaving their native country. They left their families and friends behind and journeyed to an unknown land that was completely foreign to them. Today I honor them my prayers of thanks.

This morning I went to Sabbath Services and to a meeting after that. Yesterday I questioned the menu they were going to serve for lunch and was relieved to see salad with all the fixings, herring and smoked trout. Hot tea and a plate of fresh cut fruit finished it off. Naturally they had more food to offer which I did not take.

The meeting, although I was sure would be difficult, was surprisingly calm and eye awakening. E and M explained their perception of the direction the group was taking. J and I are now confident that under our watch the group will flourish.

We picked up J & D for dinner and thought we would go to Huang Angs for chinese. Much to our surprise they were closed. What a chinese restaurant closes for the 4th of July? So we went to The Chancery. I had tilapia baked with artichoke dip and sun dried tomatoes, potatoes, steamed veggies. I had a garden salad prior to dinner. I left the potatoes and ate 1/2 of the bread stick. I stayed within my points and plan to have popcorn and maybe an ice cream later on during the evening.

It was a great day for America and another good day for DonnaEda.

How about that, tomorrow is the 4th of July. A day of celebration with family and friends. Food may be the focus of your celebration. For us it will be spent quietly. I have a meeting with J, M and E for the Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale. We will meet at E's home. But first I will attend Sabbath Services at our synagogue.

Our friends I and D are celebrating their 56 wedding anniversary and their son's 30th anniversary of his Bar Mitzvah. So they will be hosting the luncheon after services. I have no idea what the menu will be but I should be able to eat something. I am sure there will be a salad and then I will be fine.

We will probably go out for dinner with our friends D & J. Where?, I don't know

So getting back to today. I golfed this morning and the course was very crowded. We had a 9:30 a.m. tee time and we really didn't tee off until about 9:45 a.m. The twosome ahead of us, two men, were duffers and it was very frustrating. But I did golf within 1 stroke of my all time low game. The weather was wonderful and the company was great. There were 4 of us women, all of us had great games

My food has been very good today and planning to have hamburgers for dinner with a salad and a vegetable. We might watch a movie tonight. I have several taped and we should watch them before they get erased by U-verse.

Our trip to Costa Rica is coming up in December, 2009 and we had to change the date due to a conflict in our schedule. After the 11th of the month we will finalize our reservation and flights. Getting excited to do the Zip-line.

That's it for now, time to make dinner and relax for the evening.

And all those paragraphs! Okay that was a yank! But a loving one! Thanks!

Enjoy your 4th! Hannah and I will be watching fireworks in Buffalo Grove if it ever stops drizzling!

Love and Kisses,
