WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS, WOO HOO. GREEN BAY IS BRINGING THE LOMBARDI TROPHY BACK HOME

Now the super bowl is over and all the excitement and nail biting is over. During the third quarter I was hoping that the Pack wasn't throwing the game to the Steelers. I guess our prayers have been answered and the Pack finally won the SB. It was a close game and the Pack fought hard and well.

This morning I went to the synagogue and made the appetizers for the Donor Tea. Each of the tables had a tea pot for a centerpiece sitting on a mirror. It was a beautiful table set with tea cups and little plates for the finger pieces. The long table was set with all kinds of pastries and little finger tea sandwiches. It was just beautiful. The modeling went beautifully. There were six of us modeling 3 outfits. As I mention before I did not buy any of my outfits, but one of the ladies modeled a leather (Light brown) jacket and a brown and black graphic print polo shirt under it. I fell in love with it and tried it on after she was finished wearing it and it fit like a glove. I bought it. My cousin bought a big purse which was bright in color and very attractive. The Donor tea was very successful and those who missed it really missed a lovely time and great food. I ate a lot of fruit and had some crackers with melted cheese. I was very selective so I only took things that I would not ordinarily have an opportunity to eat.

I stopped at Subway on the way home for 1/2 subs for Bob and I during half time. I had a turkey sub and Bob had a BLT sub no dressings on either. Lots of veggies and a slice of pepper jack cheese. We ate lots of sliced veggies with my fat free dip and filled up on that so half time at 7 p.m. we had our subs which were fine and I had 3 clementines for dessert.

Now I am listening and watching the celebrations on TV and enjoying the Packers win.

This morning I got up, dressed and went to shabbat services. It was a beautiful service and the Rabbi even did a prayer for the Packers to win the Super Bowl.

On the way home I stopped at TJMaxx to buy some face products. I also picked up a great jacket on sale. It is just adorable and a classic that I can wear for a long time.

I came home and we decided to order Chinese and eat at home. So I had hot/sour soup and some egg foo young.

Tonite I have been watching some pre taped shows. I will be reading another book, since the 3 books I have picked up haven't been all that good. They went back to the library. I think this one is going back too. Its not grabbing me.

Again, I had to get up early because I was scheduled for a docent tour for Nathan Hale High School class. It was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. and fortunately for me I was there early because their bus came ahead of schedule.

The tour went well and as soon as I was finished which was about an hour, I went the the synagogue to prepare my cheese and black bean spread for Sundays Sisterhood Donor Tea. I made the black bean spread which was great and thought as long as I had extra cheese, red pepper, jalapeņo pepper and scallions I would throw in some lox I had in the freezer and make another spread. Which I did.

By 12:30 p.m. I was exhausted and came home and took a nap for about an hour. We had the left over blintz souffle and I watched the Barbara Walters Special which was very good.

I am tired and will go to bed early this evening since I do want to go to temple tomorrow for services.

So nite all and have a wonderful weekend.

This morning I had my dh wake me up early because I had an appointment with Michelle at "All that Pizzazz" in Cedarburg. They are doing our style show on Sunday from 2-4 pm. for our Sisterhood Donor Tea.

I tried on several outfits and settled on three that were awesome. They looked fantastic on me and some of the outfits were too big so I couldn't model them. Its wonderful to have things be big on you. I will model a gunmetal grey and gold mottled spring jacket with a grey over the shoulder purse. A black crepe full pant in a medium size and black shell with a calypso top that ties at the waist and carrying a Michie purse. Its a purse with detachable outer faces so you don't need to change purses you just change outer faces. Its adorable. The last outfit is a very dressy black slack, with black shell and the jacket is taffeta with embroidered turquoise and silver star bursts. The collar stands up on the jacket and is just beautiful. It would look perfect for a mother of the bride or grandmother of the bride.

When I was through I looked around the store and found a chocolate brown long sleeve pullover and a coral sweater cape with lots of ruffles around the neck and front. I bought the two pieces. They are just beautiful and very unique.

I stopped at the store and did some grocery shopping for the tea. I had to pick up ingredients for the black bean tortilla that I will be serving that afternoon. I plan to make it tomorrow at temple cause we can't make it at home since it must be kosher and I don't keep strict dietary laws.

I then went to the library and picked up some more books that I had reserved online for future reading. I have enough books now for awhile. I just finished one and now I am reading "The Big Silence" also a Stuart Kaminsky book. The main character is Abe Lieberman and he is a Chicago cop and his partner Bill Hanrahan. It is a good read, light and fast.

I then went to play scrabble and had a great game, none of which I won, but did come in second.

The roads were much better than I expected but chose not to go out tonite because the temp here in Milwaukee went to below zero wind chill. Its nice and warm in the house and I am here to stay.

I made a blintz souffle for dinner tonite and it was as expected very good. Plenty left for tomorrows dinner.

I am going back to reading now and then to bed, because I have a busy day tomorrow.

It IS so much fun to try on clothes and have a good experience! I loved it when I got out of the X department! Now my plan is, in a couple of inches when I'm down to 12, I'm going to get a small group together and we are going to do a "what not to wear" purge of my closet. Then I'll start building it as I keep working my way down to my balanced size.

The snow in Kenosha was pretty bad. I'm glad the roads are clear. Did you do any modifications for your blintz souffle? I haven't made that in awhile.

Shabbat Shalom -- and have a good weekend!

We had a lovely time in Niagara Falls walking in the snow and all bundled up. But if I had to be stuck in it for weeks, it would get old! I remember being snowed in as a kid but not for many years living in FLorida. Only hurricanes.

I am snow bound too and I hate it. I just can't wait until spring. I love Chicago but, the winters stink. Hopefully we can get out tomorrow.
