Hi..I can't believe I haven't blogged for such a long time..it's been really busy here.. hubby has decided that since calving is just a few weeks away and then he'll be staying really close to home, we should go on some road trips..so we've been out for supper Monday, bought a new bale shredder Tuesday, went to Williston yesterday and today I went to town for mail and banking and groceries while hubby did extra chores since we're going to Saskatoon for a couple days tomorrow to bring bull meat to our son and sister...We also had company today!
Our trip to Williston was really fun, the oil boom has really changed Williston but we did a bit of shopping and then out for supper and home :) Found some great bargains like runners on sale for $10 and a pair of dressy flats for $1. Saw a guy on a motorcycle in Montana in Feb!! Also a bald eagle flying overhead along the way.
We really ended up having just a skiff of snow and then really warm temps so the snow is almost all gone again! It's really not been a good year to buy snowshoes..haha...
Well I can't wait til our road trip tomorrow to Saskatoon..we're seeing my sister first and then dropping off her meat, then over to son's when he gets off work and then we're going to a Blade's hockey game and stay overnight and son is going snowboarding at 8:30 am so we'll be off back home to the cows by mid-afternoon.....
We do have a few more trips planned for the next couple weeks...one to Weyburn to do some business and take hubby's dad out for Birthday dinner and the week after that we are taking a class in Assiniboia on cattle marketing..Then hubby will stay home for about 6 weeks or more..not me..I'm getting the granddaughters the week of the 20th when they have their school break and then take them home..hope the nice weather holds..we are sooo spoiled!!
On to January goals update..and then February goals....
-Happiness is a choice..yes I have been very happy for almost all of January!!
-2nd half of 5% challenge..I only managed to lose one pound (really gained and lost, and gained and lost and ended up 1 pound less!!)
-Weekly weigh in..yes
-30 minutes on bike and other exercises..yes and got over 1000 fitness minutes!!
-Follow sensible diet and track foods..most of the time on both counts!!
-Aim for 1000 spark points..yes and then some!!
-Blog daily and start the one sentence journal..blogged most days (one week in the challenge was to blog daily and comment on 10 other blogs..too much fun and made lots of new friends!!) Need to work on the journalling...
-Go to bed by 11 pm..yes almost every night :) missed a couple nights..hey hockey sometimes goes to overtime!! haha :)
-Follow the book Happiness Project and chart..yes!!
-Time for me Self"fish"..yes, did lots of me things!!
-Clean slate/clear clutter/gain energy..painted a new blackboard..did lots of cleaning and sorting..woohoo!!
-Share my happiness with others...hubby, family, friends, Spark friends, and pray for a stranger..yes..I've tried to share my happiness with others..
So all in all I'd say I made real progress in January toward happiness and a healthier life!! Woohoo!!!
I think I'll take a mini break and get a beer and catch the end of the hockey game and then blog my February goals...

Woohoo..the Jets just won in overtime!! Now it's time to tun in to the next game..the Oilers play tonight too!!
