Hi..this is the last day for the 5% starfish challenge..this week was the challenge to blog daily and comment on 10 blogs..this has been a fun part of the challenge and a way to get to know more Sparkers and some of their tips and struggles and jsut about their lives...
Starting tomorrow our challenge is to cut out adding salt at the table!! Since I never add salt to anything at the table and never even add salt when cooking or baking, I think I'll find this an easy part of the challenge..the last week..how fast 8 weeks have flown by..for one thing I haven't lost the 10 pounds I hoped but it has helped the dreaded holiday gain stay with a few pounds...
It's still very cold here but hubby ventured out to town and got the mail, drinking water, and a few groceries..I needed milk, bananas and o yeah he bought apple strudel, I don't think that was on the list!! haha. I got 4 new magazines and most have the heart theme for February and how to have a healthy heart ( I noticed Oprah has a blackboard on the cover..wow)
I did my 30 minutes on the x bike and 15 mins strength and 15 mins of snow shovelling and got the snow off the front deck and yes I did go out side..woohoo!! I tracked my meals and drank the water and took the vits..I added B12 to my stack since it's supposed to increase energy..I read a neat article on supplements and said the 4 most important ones are Vit D, the fish oil one and mustard and tomato sauce!! So here's to cooking with more mustard and tomato sauce.
Today was another cream of wheat morning (I had a crappy sleep..woke at about 3 and tossed and turned for hours till I feel back to sleep, then slept til 9!!) So I had a bad headache today and feel like I'm coming down with a head cold..feel a little better tonight. Lunch was chicken broth and veggies, a mini wrap with thin sliced roast beef, spinach and horseraddish and yogurt ...Supper was a burger and ww bun,cabbage and carrot salad and yes I broke down and ate one of those apple thingies...all within calorie limits..bsck to those mini wraps..the little tortillas came in a huge pack..5 dozen and this is the first one I've had..and it was awlful..any suggestions of the rest? Maybe if I toast them? Maybe enchiladas or quesadililas..anyting is better with melted cheese...haha :)
So I think I've done quite well with my challenge to be more energetic..track food..make healthy food choices...drink water...take supplements..exercize..and blog!!

Hi..thanks for stopping by yesterday and commenting on my blog :)
Today I continued to track all my food, drank water and exercised...
I've been focusing on making healthier food choices today..and I had lots of veggies and stayed within my calorie range :)
I worked at some projects today..I made 2 smallish candles from the remains of old candles, I painted an old blackboard with new blackboard paint and finished knitting a scarf...
I read some more in my books about happiness..found some really great stuff :)
It's really, really cold here now and will stay that way for a few days..we got a wee bit more snow but still not enough to snowshoe!! haha...
Lunch today was a tuna wrap with extra veggies and spinach..supper was turkey stir fry with extra veggies...I also planned the menu for the rest of the week :)

Hi..Thanks for all the comments on my blog :)
Today I had another good day..tracked all my food, drank all my water, rode my bike for 30 minutes..did some reading and found a couple books I had but haven't read yet on happiness.. They all had some good ideas..I liked one idea for the 4 -3-2-1 exercise so tried that today..4 mins of cardio..3 mins of strength..2 mins of abs and 1 min of stretches :) It was called the perfect 10 minute workout..
I dug up my other Jon Gordon books and am working on my energy addict :)
I also signed up to Happiness.org and today's quote was....
"When you discover that all happiness is inside you, the wanting and needing are over and life gets very exciting."
