Hi..I got home this afternoon from my spa trip!! It was a beautiful day..I drove to Regina and then travelled with my sister to Moose Jaw..we started with some shopping and then wnet to the Yvette Moore Gallery and had lunch there and vistied with Yvette, we grew up in the same hometown :) Then a bit more shopping and the rest of the day was spent soaking in the mineral pool at Temple Garden's Meneral Spa :) Love it there..but I feel so relaxed..like a limp noodle haha :) Then we had a late chinese supper and back to Regina where we had a few drinks, watched some of the Jr. hockey, boo Canada lost so they are in the Bronze final tomorrow. Then we did some web surfing and my sister showed me some of her favorties and Grandkid videos from Christmas..we stayed up til after midnight visiting and I was really tired since I'd been up at 6 am. Here it is the 4th of January and I stayed up past 11pm (but it was a special occassion)
This morning I went over to the Super Walmart on my way home and picked up a few things and some groceries...then home. I spent this afternoon cleaning the 2 deep freezes to get ready for the bull burger..first I cleaned and defrosted the one in the basement..which is the smallest one and almost empty..then I sorted the food in the big one in the porch and hauled it all to the basement and then cleaned and defrosted it and it's already for the new meat. Hubby hauled 3 garbage bags to the dump and I have a small bag of stuff for the barn cats. I hope the meat will fit as it's been to warm to keep anything frozen outside. Since I carried a whole deepfreeze of frozen food to the basement I'd say that was a major workout!!
Time to veg on the couch and catch up on Spark and emails and facebook..my sister showed me a new craft trend..Smash journals and we watched a few videos on youtube quite cool..just what I need, another hobby, haha :)
I was way over for water yesterday as everytime we got out of the pool we drank tons, and I've been getting lots of exercise. Food wise, not so good still..I need to stay home and stick to better eating habits!! I don't have anywhere planned to go...it feels good to think I can stay home and work on my projects and buckle down on my spark goals!!
My plans for tomorrow is get Christmas put away!! Then my house always feels so clean after :)

Hi..I'm moving right along with my goals..tracked my food, exercised, drank water.. didn't get to the deep freeze cleaning that was on my list as we had company this afternoon and I'd rather visit and drink tea, than clean any day!!
We watched a couple hockey games today and part of the Rose parade.. tomorrow I'm off to Regina to met with my sister and we're off for a spa day in Moose Jaw..great way to start the new year :)

Hi!! Another year has come and gone..in record speed, too.
We had our company so I've had a busy weekend with the other Christmas and our DD and granddaughters and the in-laws here too..it all went great and we stayed up to ring in the new year..well littlest granddaughter and I stayed up and then woke up the rest a 11 :50 haha :) I'm kinda dragging tonight since I was up at 6 am yesterday to get the turkey in and then up till almost 2 am...
Time to get geared up for the new year...
To start I'll recap December goals..
Count my blessings daily
5% winter challenge ..go starfish (still have 4 weeks to go )
weekly weigh ins..some down, some up...
30 mins on bike or some daily exercise
Follow sensible diet and track food..not as good as it could have been..
at next level with spark points ..level 14 :)
Spirit of giving..give and get support on Spark
Do all the challenges on Team make yourself..did most of them, read them all, tracked some of them..
Blog daily or often...only missed a few days..
Be ready for Christmas early..oh yeah..since we had Christmas early
Feel the real blessing and peace of the holiday..it's been a wonderful time
I'm quite happy that I stayed mostly on track with my goals..just a few days of healthy eating out the window and a few extra pounds to sweat off now..otherwise the other goals have been met or exceeded...
..now on to 2012
Clean Slate..I've seen this pop up in so many places it's time for me to incorporate into my January goals!!
After last year being one of my most unhappiest times I could remember I have chosen Happiness to be my Theme for 2012..I refuse to let anyone or anything rob me of my happiness this year!! So My new Years Resolution is Be Happy!!
While I was planning out January I remembered my book The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin..so my year will be loosely based on it and making my own Happiness Project. I will borrow some of her ideas and add some of my own...I'll also use her idea for charts as well as the tracking here on Spark. I need to get back to tracking my food..I'm still good at tracking exercise, points and water..
..since this is 2012 I'll use 12 as a theme too..12 goals each month, she even had her own 12 commandments, I'm finding 12 helpful things to help me reach each goal..etc.
Clean slate..clear clutter to get positive energy..clear out unhealthy foods...
My 12 January Goals...
Happiness is a choice
2nd half of the 5% Challenge..go Starfish
30 minutes on bike and other random acts of fitness..log 2012 miles this year, everytime I read about an exercise do it..aim for 1000 fitness mins
follow sensible diet and track food..work most on this and focus on seasonal foods, whole foods, drink tea and red wine, do the all bran challenge..etc
Aim for 1000 spark points in January
Blog daily and start a one sentence journal
Go to bed by 11 pm
Build my Happiest project and make charts
Time for me..be self "fish"...I'm my priority
Clean slate/clear the clutter/gain energy also revisit my energy addict books
Share my Happiness with others..hubby~family~friends~spark friends (also read an article about a woman who daily picked a stanger and prayed for them..thats also on my projects)
Well..that's my January goals...time to brew some green tea and veg out before bed..I have 45 minutes to make my bedtime!!
