Busy day hauling bales...

Hi..hubby got a real good start at hauling bales and I've been helping since I've been home...today we hauled 12 loads and have about 2 more days of hauling Hope the weather stays nice. It will be amazing to get the bales all hauled in October...

...I'm really pooped tonight ..just enough energy for this quick blog...I ate more reasonably today but still feel kind of nauseated so hope that goes away soon. Or else turns into the complete flu..could help me lose a few pounds...

...well not much else new here when you spend all day in a bale hauling truck!! haha!!

Home sweet home...

Hi..I juat typed this and then it disappeared so here I go again....I'm finally home to stay from spending last weekend at DD and celebrating the granddaughter's 10th birthday...it was lots of fun and I got lots of other stuff done. Then the pasture roundup on Monday went quite bad..hubby was having trouble with his horse, the one that bucked him off so I was opening a gate and the cows rather ran over me..who knew cows like to quad? I didn't get hurt but the quad..not so much..the rack is bent and the fender is broken :( The last take out went great, tho but very tiring!!

Yesterday we went up to Weyburn for busness, hubby's paperwork and cheques and we picked up the new fridge I ordered and new flooring for the kitchen and bathroom. We went out for dinner and stopped at DQ for a mini pumpkin pie blizzard as a treat....

October has flown by since I haven't spent much time at home...but it has made me really appreciate home more!! It feels so good and so right...now to get back on track and get back to normal..what ever normal is here...today I caught up with dishes and laundry, went to town for mail..haven't been to town since Oct 1. then helped a neighbor tag and load some sheep and then helped hubby with a couple loads of bales and I checked 2 home herds of cattle. I finally have a bit of time to write a quick blog before I start supper.....

Time to make some changes around here..get back on track, catch up on lots of jobs and just get my butt in gear...these last 10 days of October will give me time to get going...work on the October goals and look forward to November...

Well time to turn on the burners for supper...

Yay! Welcome back! I guess the cows were anxious to see you also. I'm sure you're daughter will miss you, but I bet you're hubby is so happy to have you home again. Hi what a long day..I should be back doing a it of stuff to get ready for my trip to DD and Granddaughter's birthday but I need a break.

The round up went fine but it was very cool, windy and showery so not the best day to spend outside....we sorted the several hundred cows and calves into pens for the 9 patrons on the east side..then counted them and hubby billed them and then they either chased the herds home or hauled depending where they live. We were up around 5 am and finished around 4 pm so not a bad day at all...I'm sure I worked off some flab..my weight has been slowly inching back to my ticker woohoo!!

I've been getting the stuff ready for tomorrow and all that's left is mostly packing up... I decided to ice the brownie cupcakes up there as they will travel better that way. I have to stop at Super Walmart in Regina on my way up tomorrow and pick up a few things...

Daughter is having a family birhtday party for the granddaughter on Sunday so hubby will come up and his parents and probably our son too...other daughter no longer wants to have anything to do with us...that still makes me very sad but I can't change how she feels :(

I can't believe October is almost half over..where did it go to?

I hurt my wrist yesterday on the quad during the round up..I hit a big rock and it rather jammed my wrist on the handle bars..feels sprained..I'm sure it's not broken...hurt quite alot today...as I was using it lots!! Typings not too bad but I should go back to getting ready..still have packing to do and dishes to do etc and some lists to make so I don't forget stuff!!

I'm hoping to find time for a lucious bubble bathe before bed.....hmmmmmm

Hi..my title is a line from a M*A*S*H show..we love that show and I know most of the lines by heart!!

Wooo Hooo..I'm home after 11 days at my daughters!! I got home yesterday..I left after the bus and did some shopping in Regina then came home in time for a late lunch. It was foggy about half way to Regina. I got a few things for the oldest girls birhtday..her party is after school on Friday so I'm heading back there Friday morning.

Yesterday we did some catch up stuff then the semi came and loaded the Bulls and took them to there winter home at another community pasture...then hubby and I went to our far pasture and checked cows..I did a few loads of clothes then boy was it great to sleep in my own bed..

Today I did some house work and yard work then we went to the pasture and rounded up the herd for the first take out tomorrow. Then after supper I got started on some of the birthday party stuff..made brownie cupcakes for the birhtday cake, popcorn balls for the goodie bags and made some sugar cookie dough to chill for tomorrow night..all I have left for tomorrow night is bake the cookies, make the pizza crusts and ice the cakes...also a bit of party decorations.

Then I helped hubby to the bills on the computer and print them out for tomorrow. We have a mini round up..be at the corrals a 6:45 am then sort the patrons cattle and count out and load or help chase...it's a very long and physical day..sometimes not over till late afternoon or early evening...

Then I'm off to DD again on Friday and staying til Sunday..then I think she'll be okay on her own...some neighors have been bringing her meals since I've been home..that's sooo nice :)

As you can imagine I haven't had time to destress yet..I guess that may come next week!! After the Monday round up and Tuesday take out....Wheeew October is always exhausting without the added trips to DD!!

I've come across so many things about change....I love it when I pick a theme and I just find that everywhere!! Oh well they say a change is as good as a rest :)

PS..I also forgot I baked hubby peanut butter cookies and went to a neighbor's for a visit..no wonder I'm pooped..it's after 11 pm and morning will come early tomorrow!!!

I'm sure you are so happy to be back home, but sounds like you are busy again. The party goodies sound so yummy. How do you keep from eating them all? I'm sure you're greanddaughter will love all of the treats and appreciate everything you do. I bet you're hubby was happy to see you and have you home for a couple of days. Hi..this is Canada's Thanksgiving weekend..and we're having our turkey for supper tonight so it's in the oven as I type...I'm still at my daughter's and things are not too bad..I'm really looking forward to going home on Tuesday for a few days..see my hubby, sleep in my own bed..de-stress!!

We went to Humboldt together on Friday and did some banking and shopping and out for lunch..first day daughter has been out and about since coming home from the hospital...then we also went to DQ for a pumpkin pie blizzard :) a little treat for both of us :)

Yesterday oldest granddaughter went to her Dad's for Thanksgiving so we just have the youngest one here. We spent most of the day doing housework so it's all caught up for when I leave on Tuesday..sorted through the girls bedroom, toys and clothes...

Today is the live in boyfriend's birthday..both are very bitchy :( I keep my mantra..the change is peace.... I helped clean the wood burning stove chimney..I was on the roof..him inside. I'm cooking the turkey and sweet potatoes and regular potatoes with gravy, corn and buns and pumpkin pie for dessert..the birthday request was for pie not cake...

I have some more laundry to do and then I'll finish up the food..
