June...I love June :)

Hi..I can't believe it's June already..I'm getting back on track and I miss blogging so hope things slow down a bit here so I can blog daily again.

Flylady's June habit is drink water and I've had lots today.

I spent today putting out bedding plants and doing up my pots :) Hubby was gone for the day helping another pasture manager turn out bulls.

I also mowed grass for about 3 hours (push mower) rode myh bike 15 mins, dyed my hair, did some self tanning..first day all year to wear shorts.

I watched the hockey game tonight..woohoo Canucks :)

I tried to keep to healthy foods and portions and all was well except and extra serving of BBQ beef ribs..I'll try to do better tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'll try to write an update and recap May's goals and add June's goals...

Sounds like you are busy and enjoying June already. Still cloudy, rainy and darn cold here. I can relate to the lack of time....seems we get busy on the ranch and blogging and even staying on track with a fitness routine falls by the way. Hi..I just wrote a long blog and when I went to psot it it diaapaeared..God I hate that..now I'm too tired to write again :( The gist was tomorrow's my birthday..going to Regina to visit father in law in hospital..knee replacement surgery. Out for birhtday supper and shop...

Had a bad day..cutivated til wheel broke off. planted garden till rain came..didn't finish..write blog that made sense..now it's gone :( tomorrow has got to be better...

Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you. I just had to laugh at your blog - that is just so true about life and farming/ranching :) Everything is weather and equipment dependent. I took a bearing out of the disk, had to wait for a day for the part, my wonderful son did the repair and then it rained for two days so more sit and wait. Disking again yesterday and will be back at it today. Thank God for a tractor with a cab but my butt is worn out from hours and hours of round and round. Rainy monday..

Hi it rained all day here and supposed to rain tomorrow too. We're still havinf trouble with the oil company :( had a meeting with a boss from Calgary and we got no where!! Sooo tired of this. They just act like they can walk all over us...very depressing!!

On to happier things Vancouver won the series tonight..woohoo...went to town for mail and fuel, then did a bit of fencing with hubby before the meeting. Then rested in the house instead of being out in the rain..

Didn't ge too many things done on my cards..but tomorrow is another day..hopefully better on track than today.

We kept waiting for the sunshine and now i am waiting for the rain. It has been hot and very humid the last couple of days. If it does not rain tonight or in the morning, I will have to start watering the tomato plants and etc. I probable should have done that today, but I did not sleep last night and after we got home I had lunch and laid down. slept for a couple of hours and then went to bed earler and slept for another 4 to 5 hours and am getting ready to head back to bed. I decided it was too hot and humid to get out and carry stones and etc. I did take some before pictures and one of these days I will take after pictures. I say one of these days, because i don't know when it will be done and after pictures taken. Guess I could take some coninuing project pictures. Maybe I will tomorrow.Who knows what i might do. It's not rained here since the weekend... I think Saturday night it rained a bit. I hope it rains here soon; we're planting a hedge, and hauling water is time-consuming, even if it is good exercise! Reading what you're dealing with from the oil company tells me that I really hope we don't find oil on our property! I'm sure there isn't any, but I don't want to have to deal with it, and J would just be mad and cranky about it all the time. I'll be satisfied with finding water and having a reliable well instead of having to deal with the cistern and the pump not working right and all that stuff that we've been dealing with since we moved out here at the beginning of February. Hi..I've had a busy weekend and rhis will be a quick blog!! My oldest daughter, her boyfriend and my son arrived on Friday night to help us with the cattle. We started 7 am rounding up the herd and then sorted cows from calves, then branded and vaccinated and tagged the calves..stopped for lunch then vaccinated the cows and bulls. We finished up around 3 pm.. and I was completely pooped!!! Son left for a stag that afternoon but the rest stayed overnight again. I was so tired I fell asleep during the hockey game!!

After daughter and her boyfriend went home this morning, hubby and I turned the cattle out and then fixed fence for the rest of the day.

I'm ready to call it a night and catch up with my tracking in the morning...

More hockey and beer..

Hi..more beer (light beer..cinqo de mayo :) ) and hockey..woohoo..Vancouver won!!

Got quite a lot done today..talked to more guys about the oil site mess!! Checked the herd and hubby and rider went fencing in the community pasture. I went to town for mail and a few groceries. Did some cleaning for the weekend..kids are coming home to help with branding.. had a few more phone calls..called sister on their anniversary.

I did some or most of the things on my goal cards for today..I feel like I'm making progress if I do at least 5 of the 6 daily things on each card..and cut me some slack with the things I miss.

Donna, I read your blog last night but was too tired to send a message. I wanted you to know that the onions are on their way!! Just what you need, more work. I have no idea how long it will take for them to get to you. Let me know when they arrive. I picked up a 100 lb bag of seed potatoes today for two dollars and already have some planted I plan on planting some here and there. I will have 4 hills of sweet potatoes going in the ground tomorrow. I know that for a while you are going to be busier than I am and so I know that you will also be dog tired about every day.
