Yesterday was a quick trip to the city to get some supplies for hubby..he phoned all the places to make sure they had what he needed and I was frustrated at two of the places ..when I got there they didn't have the stuff!! Canadian Tire had 2 chain saws on sale in their computer but the kid couldn't find it!! Most of the time we shop there we are very unsatisfied!! Was afraid hubby would have a melt down but he actually just joked about how much money I saved..go figure!! Usually he's a grumpy bear during calving and lack of sleep!! I did get most of the stuff he needed!! And a few things for me..
..I found these cool lime green cleaning cloths (enviro friendly) and some new window cleaner..not so enviro friendly but it sure cleans good!! I went around today washing all the mirrors and windows, inside and out and then appliances..
I think I need help..
I got home at 5 to 6 last night so supper was still beef roast, since I put that on before I left, but for sides I had instant mashed potatoes, stir fried cabbage and micro mixed veggies..I made the key lime pie before I left..graham crust, lime jello with 1/2 the water, 1/2 package of low fat cream cheese and some cool whip and grated lime peel...when I got home I put some cool whip on top and grated some more lime peel..yum yum..hope you all enjoyed St Patrick's Day..I also had a lime beer for bed time snack..
Today after chores we went to town for lunch..I had a grilled chicken breast on a bun with a tossed salad and coffee..I also dropped off the sandwiches for the funeral lunch, we got mail, the car tire, some cash out of the ATM, took plastic to the recycling and got drinking water on the way home..we never go to town for just one thing..gotta think green!!!
This afternoon and tonight we worked on the corrals and feed some more bales, tagged some calves...moved a big panel hubby made from the shop to the coarrals, foound a cow that had a dead calf..she's still uncomfortable so maybe she's having twins, otherwise we'll probably put one twin on her..deaths are inevitable but we do hate to loose a calf :(
Supper was fish sticks, sweet potato and green beans and the rest of the pie...
We did get lots of lots of mail and I got 3 magazines in the mail..after I blog and track I'll be reading until my turn for the night check..

Donna was pleased to hear about your daughter. Just remember to let go and let God You sound like me never a moment wasted. I try to keep busy, but none of what I do HAS to be done. I had a surround sound given to me and now I have to figure out how to hook it up. My daughter has one hooked up so it basically should be the same so if I go look at hers I should be able to do this one. All of the yellow onion sets are now planted and also some more lettuce. I just sprinkled the lettuce seed in with the onions. That should look pretty good under the tree. I want to see about sprouting some marigold seeds so that when it comes time for those kind of plants I will have enought to plant where I want. I was up at one this morning and cleaned out another closet and have two more big trash bags full of clothes to take out to the truck and keep for the Clothes Line. The Lord has blessed me with so many new ones that I need to let the old ones go. It is hard for me to do that with some of them because they were favorites to wear, but they are all getting big so it is more than time to tell them good bye. Went back to bed about three and slept for a few more hours. Not much else is going on. I have the laundry in the dryer or at least half of it and will be finishing it up here before long. It seems as though it take so much time to get the jeans dry. I have some potatoes that have sprouted and I may take them out and plant them in the tires I have stacked for Potato growing. I did not do any last year, but did the year before and had quite a few to use. The tires, I have painted white so they make a good yard ornament. I need to water the seedlings I have here in the house and also check my sweet potatoes. Looks as though right now I will have about a dozen slips to go planted after I get them rooted. Will be interesting as I have never grown them before. Sorry to hear about the calf. I know what you mean about losing some. You know there is a reason for it, but it is still hard to accept. You have been busy, busy & very busy. And you still manage to cook some yummy sounding meals. I don't know how you do it, but you are getting in lots of exercise.
