Hi..just thought I should recap my goals and track my December progress. Thanks every one for stopping by for a chat and tea and inspiration :)
Tea's going great..I'm enjoying relaxing with my pot of tea most nights and have found a few new flavors to add to my collection. It really helps to get lots of fluids and to cut down on night snacking...
Exercise is not going as good as hoped I'm still being active with cleaning and painting and helping outside but I hope later in the month I'll be back riding my bike..and use my 10 free gym sessions..and really amp up January...
water and tea...I've had 10 cups most days :)...
healthy foods..small amounts of treats..well I have had some treats but way, way less than most December's so I'm happy with my progress..not perfection..just progress :) When I do over eat I cut back the next day...
home improvements are coming, the rooms are all painted but the porch and that can wait until January...I'll post some more pictures when I finish decorating...
Christmas preparations are coming along great..good thing since we're having Christmas on the 18th so I just have a few more days to get ready.. today I made tarts so baking is finished, I made cabbage rolls to go with the turkey, gifts are all wrapped and under the tree. I have a bit more cleaning to do..getting beds ready for the kids and do a bit more decorating, I shampooed the family room rug today so that's done..
streaks..I've logged on and got points everyday so far in Dec. also tracked food and exercise and water....
time for self..I've been listening to my favorite Christmas cds, enjoying lots of bubble baths, reading a new book called Snow Globe, watching some Christmas shows, reading lots of new magazines, spending time with friends, and spending lots of time with Spark friends...
give something to some one daily..I sent out over 50 Christmas cards, gave all my slo-pitch team Christmas gifts, brought a plate of cookies to a retirement potluck, gave a gift to hubby's office and brought cookies to the Christmas party, gave granddaughter her birthday gifts and brought up some early gifts for the rest of them..cookies etc, brought cookies to my favorite x boss at the drugstore :) left positive comments on lots of Spark stuff, shared a blog almost every day . I'm going to be giving Spark goodies to my friends next week, after my early Christmas, my friend and I are also going carolling at the seniors home next week....
goal weight 195 for December 31..well I started at 197 have been down to 196 and now am at 198 so ..I still have 2 weeks to get back on track..
Well that's my recap of the goals so far..hope you're all moving towards your goals too..thanks for stopping by for a chat and tea :)
Keep on sparkin'...

Hi..what a weekend..yesterday I wrapped a bunch of gifts, checked the herd with hubby, watched the oil rig move out, made pistachio salad and a cookie tray for the pot luck party.
The party was lots of fun, the community center was almost full..it was a retirement party for the local tire man who had been in business for over 30 years in our community. After the pot luck supper there were speeches and a roast..the guys were hilarious and told a lot of jokes and stories..had us wiping away tears from laughing so much! We sat with some friends that are neighbors and we had a great visit :) Then a musical jam session was a big hit , that also included dancing for anyone who wanted. We were ready to leave by 10 pm since today was another busy day.
We drove up to our daughter's about 4 hours away to celebrate my littlest granddaughter's 6th birthday..we had bbq burgers and veggies and salads. my son and his girlfriend were also there, and great-grandparents and the other grandparents. Everyone had a great time but the weather was really cold and then quite stormy almost the whole way home!!!
Now it's still stormy outside and very cold with the wind chill so I'm cuddled in pjs on the couch, having hot cocoa watching the glow of the Christmas tree lights..hubby even made a fire in the family room wood stove so it's quite cozy here..hope you're all keeping warm, where ever you are :)
I think tomorrow I'll try to catch up on my food and exercise logs, wrap the last of the gifts, do a bit more cleaning and decorating. Tuesday we have hubby's pasture Christmas party at Weyburn so I can pick up any last minute things I need for my early Christmas on the 18th. I sure hope the weather is better than today..I worry about the kids travelling!!
Well I think I should call it a night..it's been a fun and hectic weekend. Once I finish my decorating I'll post some pictures, I've been enjoying others blogs with Christmas trees and decorating..like a virtual open house or virtual progressive party!!
Keep on Sparkin'...
