Hi..We got back from Weyburn tonight and hubby had to fix fence where the bulls broke out while I made supper. I made him fish 'n'chips while I had salmon, spinach salad with mushrooms and yellow peppers and a side of green beans..yogurt and an apple were dessert :)....This morning I rode my new bike some more..I did 4 miles in 15 minutes, then I did the other Spark exercises and off to help in the corrals to treat a sick calf. My new bike has so many features I'm not sure how to use them all yet!
I've been thinking of my November goals and think I will include tracking on a chart on the fridge certain things like miles/minutes on bike; vitamins/ water/ fruits and veggies etc.
Anyway..on with a quick recap of October......
1 Daily 3 things to be thankful for...I did try to be mindful of my many blessings..it's been a
bountiful month :)
2 Daily share a laugh..boy did I do lots of laughing in October, lots of zany stuff happens, like
usual around here, but also found lots of laughs on sparks..and do you all have e-mail
friends who send you tons of jokes each day?? Laughing is like jogging on the inside :)
3 Daily spark streaks..food..tracked every day :) only a few days over and a few days under
water..tracked every day..8 cups :)
exercise..tracked every day..even if it was just 15 mins :)
points..logged in every day..got between 30-80 points a day :)
vitamins..took them daily :)
Blog..I think I missed a day, but happy with amount :)
4 Daily 30 day shred...had to quit to rest my bruised leg :(
5 Daily be active on a team...I've huddled and read messages and posted messages and
even joined more teams!! :)
6 Daily connect with spark friends with comments, chuckles, goodies etc :) yes and I just
sent all my spark friends a Halloween goodie :)
7 Daily have pumpkin seeds for a snack..yes..I measured out a tiny portion and put in snack
size zip lock bags :)
8 Do a fall clean project..well this wasn't daily but I did do a few :) have a few more pics to
post..I forgot how busy I get in October!!!
9 Daily do something nice for me..lots of magazines/bubble baths/times with friends/times
family and times with hubby...lots of "nice" things for me :)
10 Daily weigh..Here's the hard part...my goal was to lose 10 pounds this month and I started
203.5.....some days I as that some days I was more some days I was less but here I am at
end of the month stuck back at 203.5..I'm not too disappointed because I have lost over 15
pounds since May. I just need to amp up a few things for November and try to stay home
more too!!! So I can watch my food better..it is very hard to judge some meals away from
home!!! (I guess over the month I probably did lose 10 pounds, only I gained them back
Well the best way to get healthy is in small steps and I do feel I'm really improving my health!!
This has turned out longer than I thought so I better get to bed..hubby's been sleeping on the couch for hours. We'll hopefully be back hauling bales tomorrow and I'm working at a community supper..it's my group catering ...tomorrow evening!!

We still have snow here but it was actually sunny :)
Hubby put my recumbent bike together and I love it!! I have to take it easy for awhile since I rode for 20 minutes and my leg was sore again!! While hubby was in the house I said "I've gone 2 miles already" and he said "But you're still here" hhaha! Always the comedian!
I was out helping him with the last herd of community pasture cattle today. He asked me if I wanted to come along while he put them in with the truck and we'd be back for lunch in 10 minutes, so I did go along and not dressed for the weather! since I was just riding along in the truck..not!
The owner was there already, instead of waiting till after lunch like planned, so we were putting them into the corrals and sorting through the chute into pens and loading them into his trailer for the first load...all this through 2 foot deep snow banks and I was barefoot in runners, yoga pants and no mitts or hat :( I didn't appreciate trudging through the snow, swearing at the cattle. At least I had a winter coat on.
I worked a bit this afternoon on my Christmas planner...I am a crazy, Christmas person!!
I was better on track for healthy foods today..lots of fruits and veggies. I love spinach salads so I buy a huge bag of spinach and take big handfuls and put in zip lock baggies..then just grab one from the crisper to make a salad, top with some other veggies like mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes etc and a small drizzle of low cal dressing..yum!
We're back up to Weyburn tomorrow for a truck app't and bring up more paper work for hubby's job.
I still want to recap October's goals and have been giving some thought to November's goals.
Either later tonight or tomorrow!
I've been dropping by commenting here and there on friends pages and making new friends too so I'm behing with spark goodies to friends..better get crackin'

Hi just a quick update on my leg..it's feeling much better today after really hurting last night. I think it's healing..the bruise is moving and fading!!
Didn't snow yet but it's supposed to tonight and tomorrow and maybe Wednesday!!
I'm not ready for winter yet!!! But I did change sheets to my snuggly fleece ones today..tried to wait till November but the weather's pretty unpredictable here in Canada!!
Best head to bed as we're off to watch the cattle auction early tomorrow and will spend all day in Assiniboia. It's our main pay cheque for the year so hope the sale is a good one :)
