Counting Sheep and ready for sleep....

Friday, May 10, 2013

Hi..I spent today busy as usual..we finished sorting all the pasture stuff and check the herd together with the truck and then helped neighbor sort, count and load his sheep.

After a quick lunch of salmon sandwiches and soup we went in to town for a new tire for the trailer, returned old batteries for recycling credit, got the mail, cashed some cheques, returned a pallet from stock salt..and stopped at the drugstore for a couple magazines and to use my $10 off birthday coupon..I bought 2 beer glasses with horses painted on them..really pretty..happy birthday to me. Then we stopped for slushie drinks with ice cream in them..yumyum!!

Don't laugh but when I got home I finally took down the Christmas lights from outside my house!! lol

Supper was BBQ pork chops, brown rice and corn...then off to quad the herd..3 calves were out in the yard so I had to chase them back out to the herd.

Now I'm relaxing on the couch, had a phone visit with daughter, watched hockey ,used my new beer glasses and had it's time to finish up this and go to bed,,

Thanks for dropping by to help me celebrate May..keep on celebrating and keep on Sparkin'

Ha Ha, that's funny about the Xmas lights. I'm sure you have been much to busy & with all the snow & cold weather it's no wonder they were still up. My sister & bil leave the string of lights up all year now. They just take out the bulbs & stuff some cotton up in the socket area to keep it dry. They now put different colored lights in depending on what the current upcoming holiday is going to be. This is mostly for their kids, I'm sure.
The dinner sounds good & I got a funny mental picture of you running around waving your arms, & chasing those calves back into the herd.

HI..we did more work today getting the pasture stuff rounded up and ready to leave.. We went fencing too and then I went to town for mail with my little car and the new battery :)

Hubby did more fencing and fed cows while I was gone...

Meals were quick and easy..lunch soup and sandwiches, supper BBQ burgers and veggies... just relaxing, watching hockey..hubby sorted more papers and now is sleeping on the couch..

Tomorrow is off to Weyburn again this time with the bulls and the dog to the vet where the bulls will be semen tested and Piggy will get her needles. Then the rest of the sorting and load the stuff up since the boss is coming for it on Thursday.

I had a phone visit with my sister and played lots of scrabble games..I think when the internet is down for a few days I'll get more done lol but I'll miss you all!!

Celebrating a birthday today is a friend that we used to play slo-pitch with. We used to play in a league and did for about ten years and just retired last year..
I also got 3 birthday cards ready to mail...hubby's Aunt (I just got a birthday card from her in the mail today and my birthday isn't until the 18th!!) one for son's new girlfriend..her birthday is May 14th and one to an old friend, whose birthday is the I said a busy month to celebrate!!!

Just watching the overtime period of hockey..Canucks vs Sharks...then it's off to bed as I'm really sleepy :)

Thanks for dropping by and for all you kind comments..keep on celebrating and keep on sparkin'!!

Errands & work. Sounds like a good day right? Your food sounds healthy & good. And of course the relaxing & games sound the best. Sounds like you do have a busy birthday month. My birthday month gets busier in June. Time to get those cards in advance.
Love the falling confetti!

Rain heading this way for a couple of days; garden needs it, and maybe I'll get caught up a bit in the house.

Today almost felt like summer!!

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

HI..what a difference a week it was warm and sunny and I used the air conditioning driving to Weyburn!!

This morning we tagged, tattooed and turned out most of the pairs behind the barn. We checked the main herd together in the truck today :)

Then after lunch I went up to Weyburn and did the banking and bill paying and some a few plants, work jeans for hubby..marked down to $8 at Walmart!! I love a bargain!! Also bought one of those little $5 frozen lasagna for a quick supper... I don't do too much prepared food but once in awhile for a quick meal... I got home around 5:30 so made good time...

Hubby's x-boss phoned today and wants to come and pick up some of the pasture stuff on will keep working on gathering it up..hubby has been the manager for 15 years and the pasture rider off and on for years before that.. change is always hard and I'm so looking forward to more down time and less work..way too hard on hubby to work at 2 full time jobs!! Way less stress will out weigh the less money!!

On a related note we get our internet through them so when ever they decide to cut it off we'll have to make other internet plans.. I have asked if we could purchase the satellite but they are still looking into I may be without internet for awhile so things can get sorted out.... soo if I am MIA you will know why!!

Today's Celebration will have to be the end of this job..yes..time for my happy dance!!

Off to bed as it's been a looong day..thanks for dropping by and for your comments and support!! Keep on celebrating and keep on Sparkin'

More Celebrating...

Monday, May 06, 2013

Hi..beautiful warm sunny day..

Today is my sister and brother-in-law's 40th Anniversary so another day to celebrate!! I had mailed them a card and some $ and phoned her today!! Had a good visit :)

It's also Cinco de I had a Mexican egg scramble wrap for lunch..we had BBQ chicken breasts for supper with veggies.

We had a day of outside work..cleaned in yard and gathered more pasture stuff this morning..walked a field to pick up twine this afternoon and turned the main herd out to a bigger place..hubby did some fencing while I phoned my sister and burned some twine and trash and cleaned in the yard. Then we quadded the herd and hubby did night chores.

We watched some hockey and I'm busy on the laptop while hubby watches a gory show that I don't care for...

I've been doing quite good with my habits...keeping up the ones already in place and adding some new ones...I'm getting behind in my journals so hope to have some time to work on them too....

Tomorrow I'm off to Weyburn for a quick trip..I have some bottles and cans to recycle, some bills to pay, some cheques to deposit and I need a new battery for my little car. Oh yeah and branding beer as our neighbors like Canadian beer better than US beer....We are planning our branding for May 13..2 Mondays away..hope the corrals have dried up by then!!

Well..I am really tired lots of fresh air and exercise!! Thanks for dropping by and for all your kind comments..keep on celebrating and keep on Sparkin'
