Day two of the challenge....

Hi..today is the second day of the challenge and I got more exercise today than yesterday..and I did get 10 glasses of water :)

I went outside and carried in some wood for the stove and rode the exercise bike, too.

I've been working on my OAMS planning for Marchs groceries...and did some baking for hubby...

I'm also soaking some beans to cook for tomorrow..hubby loves homemade baked beans..yum yum...

Time for some hockey and beer....

Day one of 5% Challenge....

HI..I'm going to try and blog daily during the challenge..even if it's short and sweet! Tonight I am completely pooped!! The week with the girls, 4 days of driving..at least yesterday and today the roads were good..since it's 4 hours there yesterday and then four hours home today..I woke up at 4:445 am as daughter works a shift at a dairy barn on weekends and her days off...yikes..then I drove home and got home in time to take all the cattle checks for the afternoon while hubby helped a neighbor and went to town for the mail!

We have 3 calves out of 140 so the next 8 weeks will be busy busy busy!! I only did about an hour of chores today for my exercise..the four hours of driving and the three hockey games (read vegging on the couch) can't count for exercise.. haha!!

I'm all weighed in and have posted todays x minutes aka air miles and water drank....Day one ..going great...

Busy week..

Hi..I've had the granddaughters all week and we had our first calf yesterday so it's been very busy here.and we have nasty, nasty cold weather!! I took the little girls up to Weyburn for lunch with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa then swimming at the indoor waterslide pool and a bit of shopping...

Tomorrow I 'm taking the oldest girl to met her Dad since a Great Grandma on the Dad's side has passed away and the Wake and Funeral are Thurs and Fri. Then the littlest one will stay until Friday and I'll either drive her all the way home or meet her Dad or Grandma somewhere. The roads are a really icy, rutty mess so not looking forward to 2 more days of driving..then stay home for lots and lots of days with calving!!!

I always get very tired when I have the little girls here so I think I can last 2 mre days :)...then comes the first day of the 5% winter challenge!!

Looking forward to spring ..the rest of Feb and March will fly by with all the busyness of calving..we have about 140 cows to calve...

Hope February has been extra special "LOVE"ly for you all!!

    Yep, tell me about it. When my grandkids were here for a few months, it was very tiring on somedays. Although I enjoyed every minute they were here, I was still worn out by the end of the day. It does sound like you are going to be very busy driving but I'm sure everyone appreciates al that you are doing.

    Have fun with your girls. I have 1 granddaughter. She will be 17 in april. Hope your snow melts soon. We moved over 1000 miles to get away from the snow and cold for the winter. We will go back to Iowa the end of March.

5% winter challenge assignments..

Hi..February is flying by and it's time for me to catch up on the first 7 challenge assignments!!

Way to busy here, but soo looking forward to this winter challenge!

#1 What are my plans to get ready? everything is ready to go..scale, work out clothes aka chore clothes (as this challenge will be right during calving) water bottle, pedometer...check
What exercie? See above and add some stationary biking and weights and walks
What diet? I've been trying this new no sugar no carbs and has really helped kick start my weight loss..but I'm ready to add small portions of all foods and lots of protein, veggies and fruit and water

#2Update Spark page..check

#3List reasons to lose weight. For better health, to feel better, to look better, to fit in clothes better, to have more energy.....

#4Trigger foods? My biggest problem has been with serving sizes and I'm determined to keep to the appropriate serving sizes! and not over eat!

#5Any learned tricks to cut calories? Eat whole foods, cut out sugar and carbs, eat smaller portions, drink lots of coffee and tea and water...measure and weigh food

#6Reasons diet andd exercise hasn't worked in the past? Still always ate too much!!

#7Track progress with measure tape..I have been doing that weekly since Jan :)

Well..sorry folks..I really meant to do this daily but things just get hectic here!
Glad to be all caught up with the assignments :)

The Magic that has been working for me is consistency...for a month now I have completly cut out suagars and art. sweetener and carbs..talk about clean eating! I have lots of energy and am really happy with the weight loss.

I'm looking forward to the fun we have in the 5% challenges and hope to get to my goal weight!! And getting to know my fellow challengers!

    So happy that everything you are doing is working for you. My daughter is always trying to get me to cut out sugar & carbs to help me loose weight & get healthy. She does it out of necessity & it works for her so I'm sure it would work for me. Trouble is I have no willpower & keep adding those bad things in daily. I will have to kick it up a notch & try & follow your lead. Thanks for sharing.

February goals....

Hi..sorry I'm so late on February goals..I've had them written out for ages just needed a wee bit of time to blog them (been too busy losing weight..still no sugar and no carbs! woo hoo breezed past the 190's and this morning I was 187.5)
