Fencing in the rain......

Hi..day 2 of fencing..and we woke to freezing rain..yikes..anyway it was work as normal..but fencing was cold, wet work and home for dry and much warmer clothes at lunch time.

The afternoon was drier but not much warmer..while hubby unrolled wire I went down the back road to check the herds..using the old 4x4 but still had a tough time getting through...made some nasty ruts and almost hit the ditch, most of the way there!! Then glad the cattle were on the prairie or I could not check them on the summer fallow or stuble... then back to fencing..got home at dark and had chicken from the crock pot and micro veggies..

..I'm way too tired to ride my bike today..so there goes my streak but still not feeling too great..very achy and tired...need more tea :) and a hot bath and sleep. Then it will be back to fencing tomorrow :)

    Burrrr. . . Cold weather is not my favorite thing, for sure. I would think missing a bike ride now & then is bad. Especially when you are getting a good workout already during the day. emoticon

    I just want to say that fencing is hard work and most definitely counts as exercise. It DOES. You probably burned several thousand calories, and the cold, wet temperatures would also have been a factor in how much you burned. Please don't feel you failed in your exercise mission because you've been working like a beast.

Hi..we spent today building temporary fence where the pipeline went. It is great exercise..lots and lots of walking and lots and lots of lifting! Will go back for more tomorrow. I haven't put in my 30 mins on the x bike yet or had any tea so after I blog will get to those things..gotta keep my streaks going...

I've been feeling like I'm coming down with a cold for awhile now and today I have an upset stomach to go with the sore throat and headache..I think it might be the flu (it's really going around here) Well on a bright note..I may lose a couple pounds..haha!!

Maybe some hot tea will help me feel better..

    Uh-Oh, no getting sick allowed. But, it's our bodies way of telling us Enough!
So drink lots of healthy tea, and get lots of rest. Hopefully the sickies will pass you by.

HI..I'm trying to drink more tea (okay I just finished a light beer) but I did have tea for dessert after supper..so far tea every night in November..start of a streak!! So come over and share a cup of tea and a chat with me :)

My theme for November is Hoapitali..Tea :)...
..so glad you could drop by !! Thanks to everyone who stopped in yesterday and left encouragements on my blog!!

Today I've been tracking my food..one of my goals for November..track every day, so I did today, and caught up yesterday's and then I found out next weeks 5% fall challenge is to track food :) woohoo~!!! so the next 7 days will hopefully keep me on track!!

Rode my x bike for 30 minutes..another goal for November..also cleaned some in the house and checked the herd out grazing and chopped water holes in the ice (cold here with freezing rain and snow) and brought the herd some minerals. Lifting the 55 pound bag and carrying it was my weight work out :) I carried it through the barn and put it in the ton truck, then lifted it out of the back of the truck and carried it to the mineral feeder..then opened it and poured it out.. I did use some muscles for that and for usingf the huge ax to chop water holes..

Then we went to town for mail and fuel for the gov't truck and I bought a $2 magazine. I did my OAMS (once a month shopping) on Wednesday in Weyburn. This is the 3rd month of my new grocery plan...I think I'm getting good at this. October I got a free turkey with the coupon. This week I got a $25 store gift card for spending $250..I actually didn't have $250 at the till..had to go back for another bag of cat food!! I even bought some of my Christmas baking ingredients. Coffee was on sale so I bought 4 big packages!! This has helped me plan my meals in advance and make sure I'm not buying extras I don't need... I used to shop too often and then buy too many treats, etc!! I found most of the information on Pinterest..like freeze milk..I learned one 4 liter jug is only $1 more than a 2 liter carton..and in our little town it's $3 or $4 more for 4 l.!!! Yikes..why did I ever just pick it up randomly when I was low!!

While at Weyburn I broke down and bought a new cell phone..I just had a Walmart one and not 4G..we have a new 4G tower near us and the new phone works everywhere!! wow..so great from what we are used to!! Now my 11 yr old granddaughter can text me when ever :)..was just setting it up and telling the kids my number and in about 1 hour I have sent 18 texts!! And I told the sales clerk I don't text like a teenager..haha!! Great way to keep in touch with busy kids :)

    Yay! Good going on the water, tea & exercise. The OAMS sounds like it's working really well. I can see that helping to save $$$. And I didn't know you could freeze milk & have it still be good. I'll have to research that one.

    Good luck with your tea goal! I'm a huge fan and during cooler months like this I drink sometimes all 8 of my glasses of water as tea! I've had about 3 glasses tonight of Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride for dessert, a deliciously light caffeine free herbal tea that tastes of vanilla sugar cookies!
Try a red tea with coconut and a dash of sugar and half and half for a delicious variation, or one of my favorites during the day for energy - mint!

Also like the $25 coupon and the free turkey - all my savings like that get tipped into my FunFund - for travelling and *me*-time things like dance lessons or a massage

October Recap

Hi..time to do an October recap...

1 Refresh page..done :)

2 Track food..not :(

3 Track exercise minutes...done...aim for 1000..got 3300 :)

4 Track points..done aim for 1000..got 2003 :)

5 Drink water..done :)

6 5% Challenge..go Starfish..half done..kept up with tracking but not so great at the weight loss :(

7 Blog daily..only blogged a few times..too busy :(

8 Happiness Project..done..had a happy month :)

9 5k training..not :( unless you can count running after cattle!!

10 Work on Fall Bucket List...done some :)

11 Become minimalist..working on it :)

12 Theme was laughter..it was a great month for lots of laughs :)

Well all in all I'm satisfied with reaching most of my month's goals..now on to November...stay tuned for the goal blog...
