Hi I had this half typed , then stopped for a phone call and it disappeared :(

Well, goal #10 was lose 10 pounds..even tho I haven't done that ..I've lost around 5 pounds since I had gained some weight back over summer and didn't adjust my ticker so now I'm happy to actually be at my ticker weight :) I don't feel discouraged since on Spark I've seen people who have lost a lot more in a short time but also those who have lost less weight over a longer time. The point is just keep trying :)

I've been working on my plans for October's goals. I do feel this is helping me become healthier and that's the reason for all this!!

I read this on my Kashi cereal box..Wellness isn't a's a journey!

I did dig all the potatoes over 100 pounds so that should keep us in potatoes till next summer..I've learned to cut down on how many rows I plant cuz I don't like hauling bag after bag to the root cellar only to have to haul them back out again! Actually that would be a good work out!

Then I helped cut oats while hubby baled..we got lots done today. We also checked our far herd of cattle and one close one, the one I moved yesterday just to make sure they were all fine after the change in fed.

Well, hope the rest of the week goes fine, tomorrow the rider will check herds, we have a pipeline and an oil well going on our property so the land men are coming over tomorrow. then we'll be back in the field, swathing and baling.

You get a real workout just in the course of your every day life! Losing 5 pounds is great, at my age I am thrilled to get that.

Congrats on those goals, you can count this month as a win for sure!

    Sounds like all the farm work is helping you get your exercise in. What a busy person you are. We also did potatoes in the garden and we've not dug them yet. Our sweet potatoes did extremely well this year. Big ones and lots of them. Hang in there and keep Sparking.

Hi... #9's goal is vitamins daily. I've remembered to take vitamins every day so far in September..quite a feat for me since sometimes a bottle of 30, one a day vits would last a whole year! haha. Now I take a multi vit; vit D; calcium; aspirin; omega 3 and vit C. I feel I'm really making progress toward a healthier life :)

As for the weight gain... thanks for all the salt related tips from eating out too much..I know I don't do very good at that or make good choices. Also I have a husband who loves to go out to eat so we usually go out at least once a week. Today we had to take bulls to Assiniboia and had lunch there. We actually had subs (which I like and hubby doesn't) and it was a lot easier to make better choices. Any body else have the same problems and any offers of solutions...

Hubby's back baling tonight, I hope the weather stays nice for awhile..a long while :). Maybe tomorrow I'll dig my potatoes. I quadded 3 herds when we got home today, moved one herd, had company for I'm catching up with spark...

I'm joining a new challenge from onecookietwo..a decluttering challenge. I'll do it in a separate blog and try to figure out the pictures

Gotta love them vitamins. I can actually feel the difference now, when I take them! Way better and cheaper than mood medications, for sure.

counting down September's 10 goals..#8

goal #8 was drink more tea..something that I thought would aid in weight loss and improve my health but I found it hard to have a cup a day. I did drink more tea at least a couple cups a week so that is a step in the right direction :)

Back to my weekend, apparently I must have mis-calculated some of the calories in the restraunt meals since this morning when I stepped on the scale and gained 2 pounds :(

Well this is a journey of 2 steps ahead one step back sometimes.

Maybe I'll have to rethink some of October's goals to jump start my stuck weight!! Any ideas?

We took to PFRA bulls to market this morning, then a semi came and got most of the other bulls. Then tomorrow morning we're taking the last load of bulls to market. Those 2 bulls were in a corrall without water so I loaded water and troughs and hauled it to them while hubby baled.

The sodium for restaurant meals surely accounted for a lot of that .... but we all know they have way too many calories. I am going out tomorrow night for a special dinner and the scale will reflect that!

Your doing so well! I was stuck on a plateau for so long I decided to low carb for a few days ... it helped, it was something "different" to my body. I ate veggies but only the 5 grams of carb per serving ones.

    I don't think you could have gained real 2lbs from the restaurant meal. I think the high sodium in those meals causes water retention. Drink lots of water for a few days and see what happens! That will hopefully flush extra water out.

September's goal #7 was eat more fruits and vegetables and have an apple every day. Well I've had the daily apple, and on almost every day had 3 fruits and somewhere between 3 to 8 servings of veggies :) success!!! Well on my way to healthy eating habits.

I'm home from Williston..I had a great time, unfortunately my friend's grandpa died last night..our cheap Sask Walmart cell phones don't work in the States, so she didn't hear until we were back in Sask.
The shopping was fun and we had some yummy meals out, the hotel was nice, and we went to the hotel bar next door for a few drinks last night.
I found some cheap Kashi cereal and way more flavors than at home so I bought 4 boxes, found some deals on clothes and some really cool sexy undies in burgundy, a new purse, some gifts for family birthdays and even a few early Christmas goodies.
I looked all over for quinoa and finally found some, now to make a batch tomorrow and see how it tastes :)

hope the scale is kind to me after my weekend away..there's always next month if the scale won't budge!
I took the weekend off from the 30 day shred..but did lots of walking and shopping yesterday and today,plus when I got home this afternoon hubby and moved to lots of places and left trucks every where so I walked to get some of them rounded up..he got moved over to the neighbour's and I brought him fuel and supper and picked him up at dark.

It's been a long day so I guess I should go for now..hope you all had fabulous soon..good night
